Unless Zhou is staging a surprise comeback, he didn't really use that Olympic experience either, and I doubt it was a huge highlight of his competitive career.
On the other hand, who else would offer vacuous existential advice except a 20 year old? By the time you hit 25, you say, "oh well, so much for all that BS."
Honestly, given Ilia is a world champion twice at 20, cooping with insane stress and the level of critisim it's hard to imagine, risking life and limb every time he steps on ice, it sounds rather like a practical advice to me.

Ha! I recall, long ago, being 20. Again, authentic to who he is. I suspect that in five years, he'll view himself and the world around him differently. And, if he's still being true to himself at that point, I imagine his programs will change.
