Oh my, thanks for posting the link to the medal ceremony! Watching it now, and taking a quick break because I'm all teary-eyed... tears of joy, I guess. I'm sort of a general anything-Japanese fan, and just looking at those kimonos the ladies there at the ceremony are wearing makes me ridiculously happy. (Yes, I'm one of those people who rooted for Japan to get the summer Olympics simply because I think all the ceremonies are going to be absolutely gorgeous, filled with pretty costumes etc., lol!)Yuzuru cheering for his friends during medal ceremony, you can see him behind takahito in this video also, must be hard for him also happy for his friends![]()
and Hanyu will be fine about this, too, eventually.Oh we could be called much, much worse.I think his own mother does a great job of supporting but not mollycoddling him.

It reads to me at least Orser is not concerned about Yuzu’s performance (or rank, to be accurate) in the GPF final. I guess getting into GPF final is more a mental momentum for Yuzu, and it is unrealistic to expect him to “return” in such a short period of time, so they are aiming at the next two big events.
so lucky, i wonder if i ever ever can watch him live since there is like zero chance of him coming hereI think that makes perfect sense. Actually, Nationals are rather soon, too, and I do wonder if Yuzuru Hanyu can get back in shape in four weeks. Two weeks definitely is pushing it, but who knows.
Personally, I don't really care if he places first or sixth at the GPF. I just hope I get the chance to see him in real life once in my life (it killed me when I learned he became Junior Champion in, what, 2010?... a mere 75-minute drive from where I live!, so I made a promise to myself that if there ever was a realistic chance to go and see Yuzuru skate, I should not wait for it because the opportunity may never come again.)
That said, of course I wish him all the best at the GPF. But I will be happy for whoever wins there.
he is precious indeed, its not just his skating we love, its his personality draws us in, me at leastthanks for clips!
this is one of the reason why Yuzu is so precious and unique!

Didn't someone post to this thread a picture of Ryuichi Kihara performing in the same costume? Once I saw it I was sure it's a temporary one, just like the Yulia's 13' dress at the CoC. But hey, it's still a bit weird that he wore it.Now I guess I'm gonna have to track down some photos of his CoC free skate, or maybe, gasp! actually try and watch it again (I never did, only saw it that one time, a d never had the guts to see it again). Because IIRC I loved that costume, too, and I would love to see again.
And this, too.[...] I think it might look horrible on a lot of people [...]

Just incredible.
simply for wearing this. The details, wow!I had been worried as Yuzuru kept saying "as an Olympic champion" thing too much in the interview etc. He seemed to have been determined to win every competition this season, although he himself said he might lose.

I still think it looks like mashed down tin foil![]()
Much appreciated, definitely not pointless! :dance:It's been ages since I last made a pointless picture post![]()
I'm notCoincidentally, I'm a bit unsure about the collars of both costumes.
I really like the one on the 2nd costume and I really don't like the one on the 1st costume. But I'm also not particularly fond of that fluffy stuff around his wrists. On both costumes, but especially on the first one. Overall I like them both very much but I also like to complain about little things
