2014-2015 GPF Mens Short Program 12/12

There is nothing wrong in Yuzuru scoresheet. Everything looks fine, so I don't get any comments about overscoring on this. Better rewatch his SP. Superb performance overall :)

Because relative to several veteran skaters from the past, his PCs are monstrous. I'm not saying he isn't the cream of the crop now, but his technical talent/reputation has been influencing every part of his scoring (and this has gone on for 2-3 seasons now).

Oh come on, that's silly. I've even seen Serafima Sahanovich posting something like "me and my nigg*s" on instagram. I'm sure US is more sensitive to this, but he's not from US is he.

So has Tatiana Volosozhar. It's definitely different over there...not just Russia, but all of eastern Europe and even Germany, they just don't have the kind of PC culture we have in the US.

Three judges gave Hanyu -2 for the fall. :slink: I mean, if the first jump were good... but the lutz landing was already messy. I do understand his lead (huge props for him for delivering after the horrific GPs). But I wouldn't give 50+ TES for a program with a fall, or higher P/E and INT than Machida.

But otherwise: Poor, poor Voronov. I think he got the "Russian #1 is here, you're now nobody" scores.

Voronov was relatively underscored with the almost clean performance compared to the score that Hanyu got with the one fall.
I thought Voronov at least would be the 3rd place. Anyway, Hanyu seems recovered, so let's see how he could do tomorrow.

That doesn't make it any better. He's actually gone out and insulted other skaters so I find little reason to like him off-ice.

I wouldn't put Kovtun's scores against Voronov's. Except for 4T which some idiot judges gave -1, that was one of the better quads in this competition, his scores reflect what was put out there.
It's Voronov's score that makes no sense even after the protocol. I guess it's the loop?

On Instagram and Twitter (he uses n***** quite often). And I had to check again, but he said Dai skated like a f** a few years ago. I remember hearing how he insulted a lot of skaters in 2012 but didn't see any tweets myself.

He is a rapper.. ;) recently appeared a rap CD

Riot! Riot! Riot!

(Honestly though, Kovtun's score isn't too bad. It's Voronov's score that's baffling. He should've been near 90).
Agree... Sorry for voronov. I did not like his skating, but he was the only one who attacked and delivered a clean program.. Sigh....

I agree Voronov was underscored, even the public disagreed. I also don't understand how Javier is ahead of Mura. And Yuzuru's difference with Tatsuki doesn't make sense for me.

What I don't like is the PCS reputation ranking that is always put in place for men from the same country. Hanyu and Machida are both great for me. Voronov > Kovtun. The gap between them should not be predetermined.

Also, I love Javi but no way his PCS should be anywhere near 40 after he basically abandoned the program after the second fall.

And Mura's PCS seem to be about right.
