Well, that's just my view on what being a commentator/journalist is all about, so I don't think we should argue about it. 
over everything they said. And they even brought in Patrick into the convo for goodness sake. I love Patrick but I don't think commentators should talk about another skater during a skater's performance. And it may just be me but too much gushing makes me annoyed.

I'd say "expected", I think now it's better. But I agree completely on the point that he shouldn't compare two skaters that blantantly. To be honest, I can't stand the north american commentary because of too much gushing for ones versus too harsh criticism for others plus incorrect information, it's a combo I don't want to listen. I usually watch with B.Eurosport, but sometimes their gushing goes overboard too, especially when it comes to Yuzuru, I know it's an unpopular opinion between Yuzuru fans but they made me rather uncomfortable during Yuzuru's FS at GPF I think I might start to watch it with japanese commentary since I don't understand it

(not that I didn't think the same), but I was like, um, lady, that was awkward when you tell someone you love something they didn't actually do to their face....What's really great is that with the internet we are able to have any commentary that suits us. I like to get as many as possible and compare them. It's fun.

Slightly off topic here, but I'm wondering when Yuzu will live in Toronto without his mother? He's 20 now, an adult, so I maybe his mom will stay in Japan next season. She has a husband there, so it seems to me that she would want to remain at home. Any thoughts from Japanese posters?

Unfortunately I have no commentary in my language since FS is basically non existent here. I usually only notice weird bits of commentary when I rewatch some performances though, I'm always too nervous to function at live broadcasts ]
