But he nails 3luzt2T all the time in FS. And his luzt is actually huge (weird isn't it) according to the latest calculation. I think it has to do with the timming and his confidence with the 3luzt3T combo.

I think it is actually his air position which make a sloppy landing, thus is it more difficult to find a good timing and set up for 3 toe.

Btw, regarding the Flip talk, it is usually his worst jump in the past, he often had edge call and I don't think the air position is that better than the Luzt. When he done it right his Luzt is actually very beautiful.

This article says that he couldn't practice for about a week from conditions of accumulated fatigue after coming back from Spain. (original;疲労の蓄積は否めない。スペインから帰国後も、体力的に約１週間は練習できなかった。) He had 4 competitions in 8 weeks with that body and he might not have had the time to adjust his lutz, I hope he'll be able to overcome it by the Worlds (cheerleader1)
By the way, Fuji TV did say that it would show Men's FP LIVE tomorrow (not the whole competition though).

I already have the feeling he didn't feel really well at practice. It's not that his body is too weak at the moment but maybe he's just tired of all the bad condition and harsh competitions this season. I hope he won't go to 4CC and have a long rest before WC. He looked so tired after the SP.

Yeah, Yuzuru's POTO is very different to Mura's POTO.
And both his 4T and 3A today are better than at GPF. That's amazing to watch.

It's off-axis and he's always has that problem. Personally I think it has to do with the timing and stamina as well. His luzt combo in the LP has been very consistent.

Minoru Sano said Yuzuru seems to start jumping up from his waist/hips (he said 腰 "Koshi" in Japanese) for his Lutz jumps, and it may be the cause of his skewed axis. I don't know technically what he exactly meant, but as you say he has succeeded the combo in LP. Yuzuru should know the reason better than anyone else and I'm sure he will fix it :yes:

I heard Japanese judges are very strict, and the scores in Japanese Nationals are usually not so high as other countries Nationals.

I posted in the competition thread, but I do believe Japanese palete is very strict on top skaters, maybe to avoid criticism of favoritism or National inflation. I think the program that Yuzuru did today should have got 95-96 in GPF.

I saw an article about yuzu's self reflection on sp. my Japanese is not good so what I am concerned is, did he say that he did 4lz in practice, and that was also one of the reasons why he's having problems with 3lz?

The judges may be strict but I don't see the purpose of being strict on spin levels and step sequence levels. These levels should be more objective and it isn't great for Japanese judges to be marking them down on their levels when they would be getting higher internationally, if they are actually doing so to prevent criticism of favouritism or National inflation. Heck, what's the point of giving both Tatsuki and Yuzuru such scores for their programs when they would definitely be getting much higher scores for the same programs in international competition?
