Does anybody have any information on next weekend's Chinese Championships?

If we can get hold of the schedule and entries in the next few days, I'll open a thread so that we can make "just for fun" predictions.

I really hope that Li Zijun has a good result, as I would love to see her regain her confidence before the World Championships arrive in Shanghai.

And, after what happened in the Cup of China, I would love to see Yan Han do well.

As for Pairs, it'll be interesting to see who gets onto the podium, and in what order. And whether Pang / Tong or Shen / Zoao appear...

There are a few major withdraws: As mentioned from Weibo, PENG Cheng & ZHANG Hao, SUI Wenjing & HAN Cong and SONG Nan will not compete in Nations this time, as both pairs are focusing on training and preparing for 4CC, while Song Nan is coming back from a back injury. ZHANG Yiyi & WU Nan will not compete, either, as she recently sustained a minor injury. Wish all the athletes good luck.

Thank you very much Yeah, I was sort of surprised myself to find out that it was actually the first time I posted on GS :shocked: Probably mostly due to I didn't follow figure skating closely after 2008... But still I really like watching figure skating, so I'd like to follow the sports more closely again.
It's my pleasure to provide information here. I have really enjoyed reading forum and articles on GS ever since I joined here, which are both knowledgeable and interesting. I hope to join conversations from time to time.
I'd like thank CaroLiza_fan again, because it's actually your opening this Thread that motivatd me to translate the entry when I read the information last night. I'm glad it's in time for the Prediction Game, too and I hope to organize the post next time as neatly as you do:thumbsup:

Just a few notes: I think it's very possible that the practice order isn't the same as the competition starting order, as quite a few groups consist of skaters basically from the same region. Some of them share the same coaches. It might be more convinient for the coaches to coach their students in the same group. Usually, the athletes who have higher international & national ranking skates in last groups of short program in competition. Still needs confirmation, though. Hope there would be some more information later on.

p.s. I'm afraid I capitalized YU Tinghui's name one time too often, should be "Tinghui" instead of "TingHui". Will fix it soon...

Although I joined the forum and started posting pretty much as soon as I found it, I had been a fan of figure skating for nearly 10 years before that. So, I can sort of relate to you.

NONE of my friends were interested in figure skating, so that was why I found this forum a godsend. It was somewhere to talk to other people that were interested in skating, and I have learnt SOOOO much about the sport, and the people involved in it, since I have joined.

Mmmm. That is interesting about the practice order. I suppose it makes sense to have skaters with the same coaching team to all be in the same practice session together. I have to be honest, I have never looked at practice orders before, so it would be interesting to see if this is a widespread occurrance.

You know, we used to have a few Chinese members on here, and they were a great help over the years bringing us news about how the Chinese skaters were getting on back home. But I have not seen any of them post for a while. So, it is great to see you join in the discussions about Chinese skaters.

I hope you are enjoying Golden Skate even more now that you are active.

(Yipes! With spending so much time yesterday making out my Japanese predictions, and today watching the dramas in Russian Nationals, I haven't looked near making any Chinese predictions yet. Right, that's what I would need to start on now!)

Yes, I've had similar situation. So it's very prescious to be able to join here and learn about skating from people who are interested in it all over the world. I have actually enjoyed Golden Skate more and more, so it is very possible

I'm afraid so... From rinkside report, the landing of her 3F+3T and 3L were not well, and she received a "<" on 3T. Then she accidentally fell on stsq, which received a level1, in addition to level2 on camel spin.
Really hope she can have a better performance tomorrow.
