Seems like he's been having stomach pain since GPF...

Oh boy....stomach bug AND back pain? But good for him for skipping the gala  Learning to put your health first is important.

P.S. All the skaters I like just can't catch a break this season.....whether its health related or otherwise. I'm going to need a reset button ASAP. March can't come sooner to be honest :hopelessness:

Thank you! I rather not see Hana wa saku again, but if he chooses to then I shall not complain :) Will there be any livestreams for it?

No idea about the livestream but someone posted a ustream link yesterday on the Nationals thread so that might still work. :)

Oh no. I hope he gets well soon. Thanks for the update.

I agree with you on the different reactions from Sota and Shoma regarding Yuzuru. Is it how he's only 3 years younger than Yuzu or does Shoma just not want to get too close to Yuzuru in general? :

I think it is just Shoma's personality. I saw some footages of baby Shoma at age 8, 9, 10, and 11, 12. Contray to Yuzu, who is always comfortable and confident in public & in front of cameras, Shoma seems to be very shy and keep to himself mostly. When Yuzu talked about his Olympic gold dream, he had this big smile and the sounded he couldn't wait for the moment to come. While Shoma revealed his Olympic dream (at 10 or 11?), he said it cautiously with a baby voice and a very shy little smile. So interesting to compare the two as they belong to different spectrums since they were little kids.

They are both talented and charming, but Yuzu...is, and always will be my favorite.:)

^^ thanks for the link cruzceleste, great stuffs to read the love and support from his family

Just saw this pix of fanboy Sota striking the pose . Hahaha cannot imagine if all the skaters strike this pose at the Nat gala, becoz they did his R&J2 ending pose at NHK gala :laugh2:

Speedy recovery, Yuzu! I wonder if they'll let us know the result of the testing in a timely manner.

It was said in the notice that JSF will announce the result as soon as they found out, so we'll know :)

I hope it's not something mental, but if it was physical then it perhaps comes from the collision in CoC. He said he hit his stomach and could hardly breath. He said he damaged his muscle after the examination.
Take a good rest and get well soon, Yuzu!

Oh good, thanx for that! Ugh, the poor guy, he's had such a rough year. I really hope he takes at least a solid week where he just lies in bed and does nothing

I cannot believe that some people are still skeptical of his injuries. Simply because he found the willpower to land most of his jumps as best as he can despite the many health issues that have been plaguing him, doesn't mean that those injuries have gone away. Rather, he has finally found the time to address them after so long. I am not sure what people want -- he is an idiot for skating even though his blood is on the ice, and in the same breath, he should put on a sweet face and skate for fans even though he was told to have his body examined! How blasphemous of him to put himself first. :sarcasm:

In fact, I'm actually surprised that the only things he's complained about after the stressful Olympic season + parade of ice shows + collision are his back pains, abdominal pains and exhaustion. I'm sure there must be more. Given all he has gone through, I am actually surprised he hasn't succumbed to an asthma attack -- not wishing for him to have one, but the fact remains that aside from external wounds, he's also probably suffering from internal conditions that are not ideal. I say, good for him for listening to his body. He will be missed at the Gala, but far better he miss that than having several seasons of his body breaking down because he did not have it checked sooner.

That being said, I really do wish him a swift recovery. I know there are some injuries that may not truly heal and may have to be carried for the rest of his career, but hopefully what can be addressed will still be addressed, and he will have some relief from whatever discomfort/pain he has been experiencing. Also, I hope he gets to rest well and recharge for Worlds!

Can't wait until Patrick Chan comes back next season because some real competition can start all over again and it's more interesting that way. :agree:

Same thing here, as of the moment there seems to be no real competition. Congrats Yuzuru... :cheer: Last night was my first time in a very long time not to follow the thread during competitions, it was hard not to pop in and check but it sure saved me those palpitations that I get when watching him live. And I agree, our young man seems to be looking really good as the time goes...

For real. Or he's both too out of it to skate/make a clear decision, and also should be blamed for making said decision. and melodramatic at the same time. it's just illogical.

He full on body slammed the ice at CoC, I hope the abdominal pain isn't from that and is just a stomach bug.

I guess the best thing to do would be to ignore, ignore and ignore such negative people and stories. He can't please everybody. People who do not like him will forever find ways to put him down if they don't like him anyway. I have become a much happier being by not paying much attention to those stories by focusing on Yuzu's wonderful skating instead.
