Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Shame about Tatsuki , he was quite a lock for Worlds podium... now only Javi and Yuzuru left from top of the top. Maybe Patrcik will come back...

I wish some Machida's fans would respect his decision to retire because of his study and not blame someone else. As you guys said it is no point to reason with haters. I want to rant :disapp:, but I shall save my energy for Yuzuru.

Just ignore people like that. No need to waste time ;)

as expected Yuzuru will go to worlds, no 4cc.
Oh boy! after all the drama since this morning....this has just sunk in to me that it's confirmed he's not going to 4CC. (though I never really expected him to)
Hope he will recover well, and finally he can resume to a more regular training schedule.

It's really been a tough 7-weeks since Cup of China, for Yuzu and for us too! Thanks to everyone here who kept me through this crazy time worrying about him and celebrating his GPF comeback.

So Yuzuru is "disrespectful", "two-faced" and is the reason for Tatsuki's retirement. I am trying to understand the fact that not everyone will have a favorable opinion of Yuzuru, especially considering how it's the judges who score him while all he's ever done is do his best and push himself hard to perform as well as he can. I am doing my best to ignore the haters, as you say -- but seriously, why do people find every way to drag his name in the dirt?!

Oh well, no matter, this is why I appreciate this thread so much. Everyone has always given positive vibes and encouraging words, and while there are people who say such nasty things, I am glad they are all offset by the warmth in this thread.

I read some fans from facebook even starting to try ice skating and going to take some lessons. And those who fell while skating appreciate how Yuzu and other skaters kept on going while in competition :)

i dont understand ppl keep crushing him when there is nothing he can do but put his best out there, and thats what he does everytime he skates, noone has to like him but even skaters have so much respect for eachother and we should do the same, anyway hopefully he can heal really soon and go back to canada and train in peace, in the mean time saw this on tumblr, its great fan art, sorry if its posted before ,
and as staccato said its really nice to be in friendly thread, sometimes other threads feels really hostile :slink:

I personally think that people can especulate all they want about judging being one of the reasons of Tatsuki's retirement, people always especulate about such sudden news like this one, this is something that will happen nevertheless but they should never blame on Yuzuru himself. I find it absurd how people vinculate skaters with judging so much, and how this can change the perceptions that people have of a skater, especially when they are not the ones juding themselves and even carry a flawless conduct off-ice. I will like Yuzuru no more and no less if he is given 220 or 110 for an LP for example, I'm not a fan of the numbers, even if I can question them sometimes, I'm a fan of the skater. And I hate to see what happened to Patrick Chan happen to Yuzuru and divide people. Judges have the power to make someone win and crush their name at the same time as a price to pay, it's ridiculous. That's why consistency is the name of game I guess, because it's what will carry your "name". Anyway, I'm still heartbroken for Tatsuki, he was never my favourite but I think that without realizing I was really rooting for him and starting to genuinely like more his skating after every outing. His retirement is a loss for figure skating and Worlds won't be the same without him.

I don't think they are even Machida fan, I more incline to believe that they are Yuzuru hater.
Especially when they not only attack his score but start to attack his personality, behavior.

I mostly never post in this thread because although I appreciate Yuzuru's skating I am not his fan. But as a Tatsuki Machida fan I just wanted to clarify that whoever is disrespecting and blaming Yuzuru for this is not a real fan of either of them and is doing it for entertainment and for gossip. Please do not mistake real Machida fans for those people and don't take them seriously. Thank you.
