Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

There are a lot of criticisms that are worth listening, that comes from writers' love for figure skating. I respect them a lot whether those are made on Yuzuru's scores, his decision or his skating. That being said, none of what others say can ever leave a slightest scratch on what Yuzuru's got. I'm not a fan of Yuzuru's reputation. I believe in Yuzuru's talent and effort, so let them say what they wanna say and they can deprive from him nothing at all.

I said that reputations don't matter, but I'm sharing Sota's happy new year tweet just for fun. He's saying "Happy new year, Yoroshiku onegai shimasu (Japanese formal salutation) Good night." with that picutre.lol

I really want Yuzuru to skate to a music like sing, sing, sing again :)
He said somewhere that it is his most favorite program he's ever done. I hope he'll do something jazzy again, maybe in peongchang!

I agree that some criticisms are valid...Yuzuru is not a perfect being, he is very human and will make mistakes. He's at the top of his field so all eyes are on him. His mistakes will be more talked about than others'. That is the price of being at the top.
But I my greatest hope is that Yuzu's friends and family; the ones who really count and who he listens to, will continue to be honest with him and give him good advice -and that he listens to them and makes his decisions, not according to what the public thinks he should do, but what he believes to be right. That will make him happiest in the end.

When it comes down to it, I don't think Yuzu has that many haters. Just very loud ones.
He has a great many who really love his skating and his personality. They outnumber the haters by far. :)

I still think he shouldn't have skated with those injuries at COC and NHK, and Nationals... But I can image if he didn't, some would call him coward like they call Adelina. ;) in this sense I can understand why he wanted to skate no matter what at those events.

I don't think he cares about haters at all. He skated because he wanted to skate, not because of what people would talk.

I can't believe Yuzuru has haters....

Any skater would get haters when they're as accomplished as Yuzuru. Just look at Mao, Yuna, and Patrick. Maybe it's because he's beating some people's favourites so I guess that's probably why they hate him. Other than that I don't know what else there is to hate of him (other than the usual skating complaints)

Sometimes I really wish some of those people, who have a big mouth on the internet, would actually say some of that stuff to his face.

"Your jumps are sloppy and ugly" - "Really? Why do you think that? Any suggestions how I could do better? I'm always looking to improve myself"

"Your skating skills are the worst" - "I agree that I have many weaknesses, but I promise to work hard and do better in the future"

"I'm disgusted by your inflated scores" - "I apologize for that and I'm really sorry that you feel this way. I'll talk to the judges and tell them that they shouldn't do this anymore"

"You look like a girl" - "I've been told that I look like my sister and people say she's really pretty. So thank you very much, I think you're pretty, too"

(It goes without saying that somebody has put something in my coffee this morning)

Haters are just an inevitable part of the game, and an umbelievable come back from hell like it happened at GPF surely reinforces his myth and his haters contemporaneously.

I think Yuzu wanted to skate because of his very singular nature and of his climbing wall “ with the tips of fingernails”phylosophy. His eyes at the end of Poto FS in Barcelona were identical to the ones he showed at the end of R&J 1 in Niece..

I don’t think he’s influenced by haters , while I believe He’s really supported by people’s love, and support comes from all over the world, across continents..

thats exactly what he would say pamina  its one of the reasons i love him, never loses his selfawareness, and down to earth

Interview with Plushenko

If someone could please translate.

On Hanyu's Accident at COC and afterwards:

It goes without saying that Yuzuru is a courageous person. 3 Weeks after his injury, he forced himself to compete. But there is only one health. That's something to learn. Yuzuru is still young. After such a serious accident, I don't think there is any competition worth more than an athletes life. You can't buy health. I learned that the hard way at Sochi.

Recap of Plushenko's injury at Sochi.

-But for Yuzuru, by God's grace, everything went well. He was even able to win at the GPF. I'm so happy about that and from the bottom of my heart I congratulate him.
This was Plushenko's message, full of affection for Yuzuru.

This is so sweet, all his dreams/goals really come true.

More photos of the corner at Ice Rink Sendai

Apart from his skating and athletism, I really love his personality, work ethic, determination and spirit. Such a sweet soul .
Really happy for him..I hope he gets to cross out everything on his list before he retires

A cute video at GPF with Yuzu, Shoma, Elena and Julia  Shoma seems always enjoy his sempai's jokes

Haha Yuzu just can't stop talking! Everytime I see him going on and on, I think about the machine gun comment

Unfortunately I think everyone has haters, not only skaters. (And everyone has at least one person they hate.)
When someone as young and amazing as Yuzuru appears it's normal to see people trying to find some flaws in him! Some of us just think he is amazing and pray for his success and some needs to find flaws in him so they can feel better with themselves.

I confess I'm guilty about the last one! :o: :o:
I would never tell him this to his face (if I meet him someday) but I think he looks like a pretty girl!
In my defense I think to look like a pretty girl is a compliment!
