Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Yuzuru is physically stronger than he looks. I remember he said before NHK that the doctor asked him to rest for at least one week, and then he could slowly go back to training. But the media reported that he needed 2-3 weeks to recover. It made me wonder perhaps that the doctor gave a longer timeline just to be cautious. So when he went back on ice earlier than the doctor’s suggested date (less than 2 weeks), it seemed like he didn’t listen to the doctor’s advice. But in fact, he did listen.
So I think that the doctor probably asked him to rest for 6 weeks again just to be cautious. He probably doesn’t need that many weeks of rest. I think he might stay in Japan for a few more days, so he can be monitored by doctors.
He is a smart boy. He is not as reckless as people think.

I hope he'll be in full tip-top condition for worlds.

Also seeing pics of him with Pooh makes my heart melt. Guys who are not trying to be grown up fully and still have a side that loves things associated with childhood are a plus. Like it makes me want to snuggle up even more with my stuffed animals.

Sharing this from another thread

This is the funniest thing I've ever read on this forum! Love this part:
Pooh is the best chaperon to all the latest Hanyu costume 'spectacle', with his impressive Pooh style classicly cut red shirt of impeccable length and immaculate fitting. Johnny Weir can only dream to have such good taste or style as the Pooh."
:laugh2:

Mainichi Sports awarded yuzuru with that tuna. I don't know how big it is, but the largest and most expensive ones are like over 2 million yen, or $20k each. Perhaps yuzuru can sell it and use the money to buy more earphones:laugh2:

 Those are really expensive, and who gave him an entire Tuna?! Lol can anyone translate? So many questions....How and where will they store it?! What are they going to do with it? Do they know how to cut it apart? :drama:
How much does the whole blue tuna cost in Japan anyways? Let's assume it's 300kg.

This article says he has not yet practiced on the ice.

Anyway,

In this video of news clips at the end of last month, a doctor says Yuzuru would be able to start training after a month. I was not sure whether this doctor was familier with figure skating, and what type of training he meant. But everything is going well, I think he has started training at least on the ground by now including jumps as he always does.

Chika Suguri, sister of Fumie Suguri, said that if not training for 3 days, you would feel dizzy when doing spins on the ice :drama:

I just pray our boy would never rush to prepare for the competition

Then, 10 hours ago, Asahi tweeted: 羽生結弦選手は氷上での練習も始めたそうです。周囲の方に取材して聞きました。体力面の回復はもう少し時間がかかるみたいですが、単発でジャンプを跳ぶ練習はしているそうです(後)#figureskate 朝日賞など4賞受賞者スピーチ - http://t.asahi.com/h4mm

So it could be that he's just started recently?

Yes, of course that made sense ... don´t know Japanese, someone please translate

I'm not sure but it varies depending on quality and size. I know the most expensive one sold was like $1.5+million dollars :hopelessness: Assuming his tuna is good/average quality and size probably under or around $30k? :confused2:

I'm no fish expert though..:slink:

Player Yuzuru Hanyu started paractice on the rink. I've heard from persons involved.
It'll take a little more time to recover physical stregth fully. But he's doing jump practice separately.

sorry for my limited english!
