Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

「昨日、今日と連絡をとり、回復には向かっているが、大きな進展はない状態」
No, in the first article, she didn't say she contacted yuzuru yesterday and today. She just said she made contact yesterday and today.

So for sure he is still in Sendai. I hoped it wasn't a serious injuy on his ankle but I'm getting more and more worried.

I'm worried too :drama: it's not that I'm worried that he'd not be able to achieve good results in the coming world championship or even attend it, I'm worried more about his health!! Hope his pain goes away soon and gets healthy, Happy and lively again soon ....

But this article also says that JSF hasn't even met him in person as well, they couldn't see his condition directly either.

I hope Japanese poster will help us with the translation.

I translated the latter part of the article where Ms. Kobayashi talked about Yuzu's injury.

Yoshiko Kobayashi of JSF spoke to the media on Feb. 19 in Tokyo about Hanyu’s sprained right ancle.
“I made contact with Hanyu’s staff and was told that he was getting better but that his injury was not showing significant signs of improvement,” Kobayashi said.
The skater is already back on ice but the full-scale training is yet to come, according to the staff.
“I’d like to meet Hanyu in person at his place in Japan and check his condition. Next week, if possible. We don’t think he will withdraw from the Worlds because there’s still plenty of time,” Kobayashi said.

So... summary.

1) He trained ALONE after surgery, and sprained ankle.
2) Injuiry is getting better, and he came back on ice, and again is training ALONE.

:drama:

I don't understand why he is training alone and they will not send him to Orser.........................

Agree with those threads above!
I am so confused now and so tired of this good news- bad news- good news- bad news situation. I don't get why he cannot go back to Canada even though he is recovering and practicing small things. I think maybe Orser's team could help him with those recovery and training stuff better. Is it because he is still being treated and he needs to go to hospital in Japan?
The other thing is that why the JSF lady will go to visit him not until next week? Does that mean he will not be able to go back to Canada then. So it will be March at that time. I do not know if he will go back to Canada any more even if he will go to worlds with only 20 days left.
Why! Why! Why! Why! Why! I think I am getting crazy...:bang:

I don't understand either. He should be able to receive proper medical care in Canada for the regular injury like a sprained ankle.

I almost want him to withdraw from Worlds to have a full recovery. Poor bb.

I guess nobody is not sending Yuzu. He is a strong person and decides what he wants to do. If he thinks he is ready to go, he will go.

But training alone is not the best idea in current situation. In CC he have all people around him that are taking care about his body and his prepration speed. Training alone, doing what he wants, he can do damage to himself, me thinks

Why would you think he would receive worse care in Japan than in Toronto? I guess none of us knows any details. Sorry, didn' t mean to be rude. Just wondering.

This situation is exactly like 2013 worlds. Hopefully this time the result will be better.

Will you please remind me of things at that time? I did not follow figure skating news that closely at that time. I knew he had an injured ankle and didn't do well in his short program but had a revenge in the long program. But I don't know what it was like before that worlds.

I highly doubt that Brian and Yuzuru are not in contact. And didn't Brian say at some point that there was an "ankle problem" of some sort? (can't remember where, though)
So far we have no idea on Yuzu's real pb with his ankle considering all the... "info" we get. Sorry but I cannot trust anything especially since the Japanese articles can show only minimal info since they don't know more for now.

Same here, too many doubts...

I remember he always competed in any international competition with having some injury, mainly sprained ankle.
As for training in Canada or in japan, they might be considering the cost of transit time and jet lag, since the training schedule is getting a little bit tight obviously and the Worlds is in Shanghai.
anyway, we don't know anything better than them (Yuzuru, JSF, and Team Brian ) . So why don't we leave the issue to them now. At least they're much more professional about figure skating than us, as least than me.
I pray for Yuzuru like a fangirl's sweet tweet:

"I pray for yuzuru's full recovery in no time! I pray we can see him full of pep soon! I pray he can skate as much as he likes! And I pray his dreams will come true!
Please, God, give our angel a set of unbreakable wings!"
