Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Baby Hanyu VS Baby Hino
Sooo cute.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MojGIhD3Hts

It's interesting how Hanyu's rivals change so much.

In the novice era, there was Ryuju, then in the Juniors it was Machida and Kento, then in the Seniors it was Daisuke and Kozuka,
Then Patrick Chan and Fernandez. Then Machida again.

Now...Denis Ten?

It's not like he is unbeatable...many people place higher than him at various times. But every time he's beaten, his competitive fire burns brighter.

Nice video, thank you to share with us !

Lack of updates doesn't necessarily mean bad news. And don't go for the terrorism theory, I don't need to laugh harder than I already do. Cheer up, people!

When I reviewed Yuzu competition results here, he is very consistent.
Look at the positive progression of the results from junior to senior :points:

At senior level: out of 28 competitions, he podiumed 21 times --> 75% podium rate

From 2012 onwards: out of 18 competitions, he podiumed 16 times --> 89% podium rate, either gotten 1st or 2nd. The 2 competitions which he did not medal, he finished 4th and this was because of injury/illness (Worlds 2013 and NHK 2014).

Even when he is not 100% healthy he is able to podium (Worlds2012, GPF/Nationals 2014). Imagine what he can achieve if he is 100% healthy or fully recovered..........300 :cheer2:
Very interesting stadistics. Many thanks . Honestly I wouldn't have expected such consistency

I don't know about you, but I'm EAGER to see Yuzuru break 300! I cannot wait for that to happen!
Yup,and there's quite a few skaters who can do it as well, though it will be very hard. It will be very interesting to see who will do it first. I'm hoping for Yuzuru, of course, but I'm more waiting to see who will break 200 for a FP. Even if it's not him, he's still the first skater to break the 100 points at SP, that will not be forgotten. ^^

JSF is not hiding him. Didn't we see he received chocolate from some cute girls just a few days ago? Based on the news, figure skaters would be better protected and Japanese team would not wear their team clothes with National flag on it during worlds. But that is it.
I am very eager to hear some good news about him too. It seems that the JSF lady didn't visit Sendai yesterday. Hope she will go today (in Japan time). But at least we know that there's no news about withdraw either.

PS, I saw on Javi's instagram Nam and he did a 3A together which was awesome. That made me miss Yuzuru more.

No kidding. I saw that video and I was wondering, "Where's Yuzuru?!" and "But there's no Yuzuru! :'("

I heartily agree with what ISU is doing with these short clips. I can't wait to see Hanyu's.
Has everyone seen Machida's Clip? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHq2I-WkRcM
Even if you aren't a fan of Machida's yet...you will be won over by this hilarious clip.
Sorry for the hijack, but it really made my day.
That's why I can't wait to see what Hanyu's clip will be like.

I just finished watching machidas and it's really hilarious!! Looking forward to yuzuru's, there will be one for him right????

OMG Machida is hilarious! and I just watch Ashley's clip one as well and they asked her whats the square root of 225? LOL and now knowing how good Yuzuru is with math I'm curious if they ask a math question and he can answer on the spot I'll  (coz I sucks big time at math )

I really like Machida's and Ashley's. It's so funny that Machida needs an hour to get prepared to go out while Ashley needs only 10 minutes. And I am also looking forward to the math question for Yuzuru!

 I really like your comment because it summarizes Yuzuru's main rivals from the past and current ones all at once. Rivalry always makes things more interesting and if Yuzu won every competition without a fight, wouldn't it eventually get less interesting? It's the human quality of him that we admire so much: falling/struggles, working hard, succeeding and then repeat.

All of his overly worried and concerned fans should chill and think in a more positive way. I'm sure he'll be fine at Worlds, and if he isn't ... that's alright too! He has already earned all the top medals along with everyone else's respect and admiration, isn't that enough?
