Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I don't want to even think of possiblity of splitting Orser/Hanyu. That wouldn't be any good for Yuzuru. He is mighty talent but even mighty talent needs great coach which Mr Orser is

And I even don't know why would they split. They seemed to look happy together during GPF and nationals

:drama: I feel an impending doom reading these posts. We don't know anything about anything right about now which is making me feel on edge lol

So I'll just wait....

Sorry to disturb/annoy again.

I just want to share that little quote from another Borser interview during Jr worlds about his new protege Elizabet Tursynbaeva.

"She is a feisty little competitor and strong willed. It's a little tough sometimes, but I'm OK with that. I've had strong willed skaters before."
I don't know who he refers as "strong willed skaters", probably Yuna (I wouldn't think about Adam or Christina as they don't really fit in the character), but he wouldn't add an "s" to "skater" for Yuna alone which means he refers to another one and only Yuzu comes to mind for "strong willed skaters". The "before" doesn't sound good to me.
And his last quote about not having seen Yuzu since nationals looked more like he didn't exchange any mails or phone calls either otherwise he would have said something like "but we keep in touch and I made him a special training plan to follow" just like he did before GPF. The lack of details looks a little cold IMHO.

Also what do you think about the interaction between Kobayashi and Brian? (in the link below)

Doesn't seem like a peaceful chat. Clearly there's something they don't want us to know now.

.

Sorry, but I don´t get what this information has to do with Yuzuru. They don´t even mention his name.

I would say no worries right now. The truth is two weeks away so let's wait:drama:

Their conversation in the video does not seem to be very peaceful or happy but at least they talk with each other right?

If they do split, I would say Yuzuru is stupid (because the split won't be due to Orser's side right?) although I really don't think he is a stupid kid. But in that case, it will be a good news for other skaters, since I think there are some promising skaters hoping to jump into one open spot of Team Brain nowadays.

We should stop with this Yuzuru/Brian split paranoia. Yuzuru is a smart guy, he knows that, although he has the talent, he needs the right coach to go with it (in addition to his current level) and to keep improving. And he will hardly find someone better for the level he's at now than Brian, or an environment like the one at C&C (with other high-level skaters like Javier and Nam).
Apart from that, who your coach is also has an effect on how the judges perceive you (Idk how much that affects Yuzuru anymore since he's got tons of reputation on his own now, but it happens), and Brian is a respected former skater and coach, very well known in the skating community. In Toronto, he can have his routines choreographed by David Wilson and Jeffrey Buttle (who has done masterpieces with PW and Chopin's), which might not be as easy, or even not possible at all, if he returns to Japan (assuming that's where he would go). He's got better chances of winning the next Olympics like he wants if he stays in Toronto. And I doubt JSF is trying to separate them either, after all, they were the ones who hired Brian; Yuzuru chose him, but they gave the final approval.
Besides, if the Kim/Orser split can serve as any reference, don't you think that if the split had been made, Brain would have already made it public? He did that with Kim, he could do it again if the same situation were to arise with Yuzuru. We're reading too much into the interviews, it might not mean anything other than, well, they haven't met because they're on opposites sides of the world.
Well, guess we don't really know anything, so let's just calm down. If they do split, we'll know after the season ends, if not, then it's all good.

Very true. Plus the more speculation and wonder we wonder outloud, the more likely we'll get rumors. So maybe we can fill this up will happy Yuzuru and Pooh gifs or stuff like that.

You would probably think that I'd support an eventual Yuzu/BOrser split, but despite of not being a strong supporter of Yuzu's sudden trip to Canada in 2012, tbh I wouldn't like it now. As coaching changes are never fun for any side and it looks always awkward whenever the ex-student/teammates/coach meet during competitions. I don't wish this for Yuzuru. Though all those lack of infos never look good; the situation very likely reminds me of Mao's 2008 Worlds... If Ms Kobayashi stands by Yuzuru's side during practices and K&C then we'll know what to expect.

Anyway. Whatever we read, hear or may think, we won't know anything until the D day.

Sorry, but I don´t get what this information has to do with Yuzuru. They don´t even mention his name.

Oh, and by the way, Wakabuno or is that Wakab Uno, interesting that your contributions to the Yuzu fan thread are long posts about problems and Yuzuru splitting. Surely there are other things you can share?

I´m learning to edit (and take) pictures and I always said: everything looks better in black and white.
Very true. Pictures in black and white can bring out even more beauty in people. I've seen this in other skaters like Johnny Weir and Stephane Lambiel. So beautiful to look at.

And yes, guys, I agree, please stop with this pointless Yuzu/Brian split paranoia, this is getting irritating. Let's relax a bit! (well, I'll admit, relaxing does not come easy when it's about Yuzuru, lol, but still!) Make yourselves some popcorn and watch movies or some Yuzu performances! Good stuff!

No matter how much I don't like the split scenario, I have to admit that is a sharp observation. Yuna and Yuzu are probably the two most strong willed pupils of Brian.

But I really can't figure out any reason for Yuzu to leave Team Brian. Not that I am fan of Brian or anything, I just don't think there can a better coach option for him. Plushenko? But Russia is way too cold for this kid who has asthma. Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, Team Brian is the best option. My position is: Yuzu will stay with Team Brian, unless there is condition that doesn't allow him to go overseas for long period.

1) Doesn't have to be a well-known skater though. Brian is a coach to many non-famous students as well.
2) Also- he might have been asked not to talk about Yuzu at all, not even mention anything related in order not to give any chance for Yuzu related questions. They want to keep Yuzu related info private and that is fine. He is getting ready to Worlds and he's been through a very tough season. Let's just all be patient and not let anyone panic, starting with ourselves.
3)It does seem quite normal. Brian is explaining something- that is what I see. It's a normal working convo, nothing else is in there.

Besides, Plushenko is too busy right now with the ice shows and all to spend time required to train someone at that level.

Plushenko is NOT A COACH. He had never coached a high class athlete before, he had never coached anyone, he has no experience AT ALL. And it does not matter how much you respect him- he is not a coach.
