Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Well Brian has said that Yuzuru is quite superstitious, so who knows. I just hope his determination will help him overcome any uneasiness he may have.
That can actually be a good challenge for him to litteraly face this place. He may see it as one to overcome once and for all.
I don't think he'd have confirmed his participation to the WC if he didn't think he could do it.

Oh God, I spent a long time backtracking this thread and still couldn't catch everything :drama:

Anyway, speaking of posters, how about this one, I belive it's in Monaco.

ohh thats a good point and bring some insight to the height argument
You know over christmas our local store had a competition to guess the weight of a cake, and whoever was closest got to take the cake home. My point is: if we guess his hieght correctly, do we get to take a yuzu home?

My entry:I think he is slightly taller than javi(idk it look that way to me in pics). The problem is boots and shoes and different heel+blade hieghts.

^^

I loved Kuro@Kurokuroiii tweets "In term of willpower and strength, he is much taller than this" (referring to the giant poster).

He started this season with CoC at this arena and will end it with Worlds at the same arena. Be safe, be healthy, be happy Yuzuru , we support you all the way :cheer2:
 that's the attitude

If we look at the photo taken at Saitama in the small medal ceremony, I'd say Yuzuru is taller than Javi. And they were all wearing sport shoes at that time, not skate and no blade.

So there's an official event with the entire Japanese team going to Worlds 2015 on March 19th, right? (Kindly ask Japanese forum mates to confirm this.) We'll get to see and hear some news from Yuzuru!:) Can't wait.

Really? That sounds great! But is it the entire team attending a press con or boarding on the same flight to Shanghai?

Actually I'm starting to wonder if yuzuru knows his own height. People tend to lose track of their own heights when they stopped keeping track of it constantly (like how I don't really know my actual height )

Take Yuzu home....gulp!

"If I get your measurements right, can I keep you?" I'll have to try that pick-up line sometime
Brilliant pick-up line Pamina :points:, totally should try that.

It's in French. My French isn't as it used to be, so I only caught about 80 %, but yes, it's a very flattering piece of commentary. The word "suspense" (with French pronounciation) is actually used, so I'd say the translation is correct. ;-)

Thank you :yay:

When we hear サスペンス (sasupensu) in Japanese (apparently derived from English), we usually think of suspense novels, dramas or movies. So, it sounded to me a bit weird.

I guess they used this word meaning thrilling performance or something, right?

Yes, thrilling. His skater life has been, especially this season, quite suspense in both good and bad meanings. I really hope he will finish this season without any more trouble

Actually I understand it in the sense that you couldn't guess what would happen next (like he totally blew their minds by being so good right from the start, but then suddenly fell on the step, only to nail an impressive 3A-3T just after the fall...). It was completely thrilling in this way, because it was full of unexpected stuff.
