Well, the pattern is that Yuzuru only does not-so-great during his first 2 GP assignments, so it's not like he'd lose much of his reputation. When he gets his act together at GPF and Worlds, the judges are more than happy to give him his PCS back. A good skate is all it takes in his case. Though, IMO, the pattern does cause the judges to score his PCS more adequately than Patrick Chan.
I agree that it's good that there are more more and more skaters who build up their reputation. The more experienced reputable skaters, the more fairly everyone will be scored.
I hope in 2018 Yuzuru will get himself an outstanding marvelous FS choreography, and gets all 10s in choreo and interperation. My dream, lol.
