Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I for one am currently looking for new wallpaper  just saying.........
Well, the ceiling should not stay "naked" as long as you gonna have plenty of "paper" to use.;) Also- the fridge. Yuzu pics are the best keeping in a good shape motivator.
All you big mirrors should have Yuzu beside them- why? You wake up and look at yourself at the mirror and... see Yuzu and:love:. So you get every day a happy one. Also- people who smile live longer. I mean- totally beneficial.

What would you do if you get them ALL?

No wonder, first :drama:

Then, I would go somewhere where I can be by myself with all the posters.
then,......Never mind, I myself don't know what would come next
Maybe, I would be in 99% fainted condition.

You know what- open a gallery and a recreation center for those fainted. Might be a good business.

^^^ +1 ...I will definitely join . And Yuzu can make public appearance or coaching session once a while

Wow, all that advertising for the Worlds. That's putting a lot of pressure on Yuzuru and creating huge expectations. I hope he'll pull through, I'm starting to bite my fingernails already.

I feel exactly the same way. Holding my breath for him.

We see commercials/posters about worlds and clips about his rivals, but we don't see news about Yuzu himself.

So excited for worlds! I wish him all the best and better! Watching GPF from this year... quad salchow and quad toe(to the crescendo!) never fail to amaze me. He is truly awesome!

Well, at least we know for sure he's going to be there? And he's going to skate come hell or high water or broken legs...

Huge pressure indeed. This is going to be stressful for us... :hopelessness::cheer2:

I do feel that he would not mind that much about those advertisements if it is compared with the difficult things which he has overcome through several years.
I think that he is stronger than we are thinking ;) GO YUZUuuuuu!! :cheer2:

Btw, not sure this has been posted before. The Japanese sculptor made Yuzuru using a banana.

I agree that there is huge pressure on Yuzuru comparable to what he faced in last year Worlds when he was competing at home in Japan, the only Olympic gold medalist to do so and, in the words of the NBC commentary, wanting to show specially to his home crowd that he deserves to be Olympic champion. He came through there by the minutest of margins after a fall in the SP. I so wish he'll depart from his pattern in his last three Worlds and put in two excellent programs back-to-back in Shanghai. His Chopin SP deserves to be seen in its full glory. I think it has the potential to garner him even higher scores than his PW program (even on music alone ).

As we wait for Worlds next week, here's a link to a video I found on Yuzuru prior to competing in his first Worlds (2012). His 4T3T in practice (1:16). There's also a segment (starting 6:20) on Artur Gachinski, who predated him on the Worlds podium. Japanese media seems to like highlight skating rivalries. I remember reading Yuzuru was quoted as saying he couldn't sleep after seeing Artur, his contemporary whom he beat in 2010 Junior Worlds, take bronze in 2011 Worlds in Moscow. Yuzuru failed to qualify for that competition because of his fourth place finish in the 2010 Japan Nationals.

Also a link to a video of a recent Japanese show discussing Yuzuru's jumps with some lovely slo-mos, improvement in stamina, and (the part I like most, starting 8:50) the photos in his photobook "Yuzuru," which part ended in applause. Guest "commentators" include Minoru Sano, Mai Asada, the photographer Sunao Noto, and (I think) Fumie Suguri.

I did not remember where I saw it. Yuzuru talked to Sota after the Nationals.
I was looking for (just to calm down myself before the Worlds) and found it

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2egayd_2014全日本表彰式-bs会場音_sport

At the beginning of the video:

Yuzuru: Sota, Ganbattajanai!! Yattane! :agree:
(Sota, you did it!! Good job!)

Omedeto !
(Congratulations!)

Sota: Arigato gozaimasu! :yay:
(Thank you very much!)

I love his big brother like talk. It's so cute (on the contrary, I mean  ).

He seems to be very happy when he sees younger skaters like Shoma and Sota.
