Proklova perhaps needs a change and she's in Lena's shadow, but, then again, I don't think she would be the star of any decent group.

They're talking about it over at the Russian fsonline forums, you have to be registered to see the discussion though. But really it's just a couple of people claiming to have insider information with no actual proof, so who knows. Oh and I think the rumor started on April 1, so there's that. That wouldn't be a very funny joke though :/

My reaction too though I sadly wouldn't be surprised after that fall she took in the SP. Maybe the poster meant it in jest like, that fall in the SP was so nasty it could have induced concussion! Though really I have no idea. Does anyone have insight on this? I really hope Anna did not suffer and compete on a concussion!
 
I would not like to speak ill of Buyanova, but I think that's her initiative. After she failed to entice Radionova, she threw all her forces to the enticement of the Goncharenko star No. 2 - Proklova. Will it benefit Sasha? We'll see. To the detriment of Lena I think it won't go anyway. And yet - it seems that Sotnikova won't come back. Why else would it need to Buyanova?

edit - there is info - also Samarin passes to Buyanova

edit2 - There is a rumor that Goncharenko with her group consisting of CSKA and moves on to another rink. But how it's accurate - I don't know yet

Oh man I hope Goncharenko doesn't leave CSKA. Falling out of favor with a club this big could create some problems for Radionova and her other athletes :hopelessness:

There's "info" all right... on the ISU's webpage and wikipedia. She's already been his coach for a year. The person who said this is likely joking... and the same goes to the rest of rumors but I couldn't care less one way or the other on them because they're rather inconsequential.

You have proof of her trying to entice Radionova? Until there is anything official, I will wait for news on Proklova.

Right now, all I am reading is rumors about people including Serafima.

Until there is an official statement about any skater being mentioned, it is moot.

It sounds plausible. The official transfer window in Russian is from April 1st till May 31st. They should also notify Rus Fed about the transfer within 10 days. So, in the next 8 days we will know for sure.

Back in November, Inna Goncharenko confirmed that another "big-name" coach expressed interest in Lena:

She doesn't specifically mention Buyanova (Sotnikova's coach), but the comments suggest that she was the instigator. You can read more about this in Lena's fan thread:

Back in February, Radionova seemed unaware about these rumors (see the end of the interview below), so I guess Goncharenko is doing a good job of shielding her from the intra-CSKA politics.

I also hope Elena stays with Goncharenko. It is much easier to entice someone with a struggling season. I wish Proklova stayed with Goncharenko. To me it is not a coincidence that both she and Elena have great musicality. If Proklova cannot get her jumps together, her presentations skills will be forgotten by the judges.

So again only rumors. This is how rumors spread. Someone suggest something and everyone jumps on it. Unless Inna Goncharenko actually says who it was or if someone can actually show proof, no one knows. Then people start using the rumors as facts.
Too many rumors spread about the Russian camp and then it can affect the skaters. Similar to the rumors being spread about why Serafima "left" Eteri (when no one knows yet if she did) and all of a sudden people are discussing her personal life and saying that's a reason. Sometimes this thread feels like gossip.


The official transfer window in Russian is from April 1st till May 31st.

The season is almost ended. Some thoughts about the Russians...

1) Tuktamyševa has raised the bar. Will it be, thanks to Russian internal competition, a new spring for the whole Ladies movement? How the other competitors will try to fight against the new weapon of Liza? I think that the "older" generations aren't prepared to this: they grew in a context where just a 3+3 combo was considered "enough".
I- Sotnikova would have the proper height on jumps to try a 3A or a 4T, but she always lacks of consistency: it's better for her to develop her 3Lz+3Lo combo that she used to land as a junior.
II- Lipnickaja has only to recover her usual jumps: she could have the best components of the new Russian wave, but I can't see her landing a 3A or a quad; Pogorilaja has got very stable jumps, but firstly she has to recover from the injury: she could work on her combo 3Lz+3T (maybe another 3T?) or even try a 4S, but not in the next season.
III- Radionova has just landed a 3+3+3, but her jumps haven't got enough room for a quad.
IV- Medvedeva and Sachanovič the same as Lena: maybe a 3+3+3, but not a quad. Sotskova and Proklova have firstly to regain consistency and then they could try to improve their technical baggage.
The "newer" generations are just practicing extreme elements:
V- Curskaja: has just got a 3+3+3 and she's the one who could be nearer to land a quad; her jumps are huge in height and length.
VI- Gubanova and Nugumanova: the former has just got 3Lz+3Lo and 3Lz+3T+2T; she could easily land a 3+3+3 or try a quad; the latter is practicing 3A and 3Lo+3Lo+3Lo, but she hasn't got the height for a quad yet.

2) In the last months we have seen the "newest" generation in action... At this moment the most promising is Anastasija Tarakanova (2004), coached by Panova (as Sotskova).

I don't know why, but CSKA keeps saying Mishin is one of their coaches. Even though his school doesn't seem to be a part of CSKA :shrug:

Could anyone please link me to a performance of Tarakanova? I don't seem to remember her, and my Youtube research has come up empty.
