He still got 50 TES with the fall. The quad and the Axel gives him a ton of points. A UR and fall on that combo probably cost him like 6 points.
I suppose we can debate whether he should be 4 points ahead in PCS of a clean Jason....it's too early for me to even try.

Some of the twitter comments when the feed went down were funny.
My favourite was "Max's newly proportioned hair and physique have broken the feed".

Protocols up and Max's is a bit of a mess
Lots of -2s and -3s on the 4S, not a great deal of GOE love for his 3A and 3Lz-3T (lots of 1s and 0s, one 2)
Only level 2 on the steps, level 3 on his combination and camel spins, and a level two AND a V1 on his flying sit *wince*.

The score actually still doesn't matter in total for placement honestly. Because team Japan has no chance against team USA for the gold. This is Team Trophy after all.

Holy CRAB. I calculated from the scoresheet (Using my handy-dandy graphing calculator) that IF Yuzuru had fully rotated that 3Lz-3T, had at least 0 GOE on it, and had no falls, his score would have been 100.58 points!

Max got -2.57 GOE on the quad, negative GoE on the step sequence...

Max AARON, was good, but not great for my eyes.
Stepout 4s with hands down.
He needs more time to train this program, then he will be much better.
I didn't expect him skating so good to the opera.
That is my impression, but don't trust me, I know nothing about technical things.
I think his costume is too tight for this type of music:think:. It looks strange for me, sorry Max.

Also, lower PCS than Nam and significantly lower PCS than Kovtun-with-a-fall. Which is... worrying.
Hopefully the GOE and PCS will rise once he gets the spins and steps down.

He got +2 or 3 on pretty much everything except his combo. One fall, one <. I like him, but that doesn't really reflect what I saw.
