Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

After looking at some of his costumes, I think he hasn't tried yellow or green yet, think he can try these colors someday? (This topic might sound silly though~)

No, not silly. ^^ I don't know if we'll see such in the future, it looks like he's fond of red and blue shades. But we may never know. I'm not fond of yellow for costume, tho, I'm worried it will clash with the ice (even if Kanako's yellow one for this season SP was fine).

Yellow and green may both bring out the yellow tone in Yuzu's skin. So I'd rather he wear blues black, purple, maroon, and other deep colors.

here is yellow one speaking of costumes , i remembered the 1st time we saw chopin one and most of us didnt like it but when watching today's encore with parisian costume, i thought it looked weird and how the original costume works with the music (well main problem for me was his neck line) and i decided that i will have more faith in his costume decisions

Yuzuru jamming to galas is the most hilarious thing, he thinks he's faaabulous lol Everytime he's too happy I get second hand embarassment, he can't control himself, he's too honest to his feelings.

Somehow the PW gala feels like trolling. Hanyu: "Did you think that PW was over after two whole years of it and a whole summer of lunge poses?? NOOOPE. Think again!"

So does he really need another surgery because of the stiches or was it the wrong news? *needs surgery* >>> proceeds to 4Lo 3A.

And I think seeing Ballade with PW costume serves to prove how important costumes are, it's one of the (if not the most) part of a performance.

Yes, I think he would look nice in wine red! Maybe a deep turquoise too. But I think blue really suits him - like Etude and PW

Hahahhahah I looove the way Yuzu acted in the gala finale... Wish he could have displayed more of that goofiness during WTT K&C! Oh well... Maybe in 2 years' time

I feel like Yuzu really likes PW... and really 'gets' it, of course - performed so well after a year of not doing it! Plus it's more of a 'fun' program, I think - Yuzu's seemed soooo serious this year. Much more than before. His facial expressions during SP and FS in WTT really scared me, as did his expression at the beginning of the gala PW

Oh wow I completely forgot that he still needs more surgery. He's done so well this competition ^_^ Hopefully there are no complications.

Yes, I agree that it was weird to see Chopin in PW costume, and it didn't have quite the impact as witht he original one. Still, that step sequence is

I love to see him in a black and red costume again like the COC Phantom. I think it's one of my fave costume of his.
I also love the ballade one except the see-through sleeves, if only it wasn't see-through, i think it lessens the regal-ness effect of the costume.

Same for me. I remember when I first saw Liza's costumes programs, I was a tad sceptical for being so wide and see-through, but it turns out to be perfect for her and her movements. Yuzuru's see-through sleeves gave me the same feeling. :yes:

actually I agree with you, the sleeves and the texture of the costume as a whole feels really light and etheral

oh yeah I didn't realized this, maybe that's why his arms looked more graceful and flowy with this type of costume but what amazes me more is how his sp top evolves in every competition. am I the only one who noticed that the white part was whiter (does this even make sense) in the wtt sp costume or is it just because of the lights in the arena?

Wow, this kid is amazing. I can't wait to watch it. I'm on plane and have to buy wifi internet pass just for watching his performance. I'm watching this clip and his PW over and over. He looks so happy. Those clips make my flight seem to be shorter today.

Same. I realized I should appreciate his chopin’s costume more~.

Yuzuru is a serious boy if he is in the mood. Even from the eyes of Japanese he looks like very Japanese (so that it’s a great idea he skates to Yoshida Brothers music for his sp or something. plus Shamisen is a stringed instrument that he loves,…..) and too serious somehow at the same time he is very honest to his feelings that are ones where I like about him though, still sometimes I feel embarrassment a bit.

btw, Speaking of costume, it is just me? who think Kanako’s new POTO costume is pretty matching with Yuzuru’s new POTO one.
