Yeah sadly that is why i said, "if it was possible". Russian Fed wouldn't pay and they don't want their skaters to train abroad.
Anna never said negative things about Tsareva and I don't think she wants to leave because they are on bad terms. Whatever cold or b*tchy face she has, it doesn't mean anything about her coaching of Anna and how she supports her. I think the main problem is Tsareva is kind of a new coach. Anna is her 1st and only very good student, she doesn't have the experience of dealing with a world class athlete and she doesn't seem to find a way to help Anna with her mental struggles. In that sense, I don't think Volchkova is a good idea. She herself had huge troubles with that when she skated and her students are the same.
I agree about Volchkova, the one thing I will say is that I think she and Anna skate alike. Volchkova was a fast skater with powerful jumps and long limbs like Anna, in that sense, she may understand her jumping mechanics and whatnot. But from a psychological perspective I agree she is probably not the best choice. Maybe Anna will be okay continuing on with Tsaraeva. I feel like a lot of her struggles this season were probably due to her age, I mean, Julia had similar struggles (I know hers were partly physical in nature, but I feel a lot of the problem was mental too), and Adelina and Liza were probably at their most inconsistent during their 16-17 year old season (last season for Liza, 2012-2013 season for Adelina).
I think there is something to be said about being 15 (or younger) and fearless. You're new on the scene and don't have much to prove and your mentality is still almost childlike. But then I think physical changes are often accompanied by psychological changes. Not only is there the pressure to uphold the standard you set in previous seasons, but 16-17 is also the age when many teenagers become self-conscious (especially if there bodies are changing which is the case for most), have sulky attitudes, some even get rebellious, etc. The last couple years of high school are also the most rigorous and stressful, which is also bound to have an effect on athletes who attend a regular school like Anna. She had mentioned in her interviews that she studies a lot and doesn't always get a lot of sleep.
Anyways, I think her mentality should probably get better this upcoming season or the next as she gets more mature and sheds herself of the "teenage angst" that is so typical of kids her age. I think the same for Julia and Polina who are the same age. Similarly, girls like Radionova, Medvedeva, Sotskova, etc. may face psychological difficulties in the upcoming year or two as well. Everyone points to puberty and the years right after as being physically difficult for female skaters, but I actually think the psychological component is pretty substantial too. In fact, I feel like the struggles Adelina and Liza had over the last few years were primarily psychological and not physical, because we all knew they had no problems doing those jumps in practice. So I am hopeful that Anna, and Julia, can sort things out soon. They were such steely competitors just last season that I do think they have the grit and competitive mindset to be competitive, it may just take some time to get their confidence and security back.
