I'm sensing more coming tho.... ^^;; hopefully my sense is wrong...

Sensing the same, but I think it won't be as hectic as last summer. Fingers crossed.

What an eventful season that was for Yuzuru, the equivalent of three seasons, according to him. Proud of him as to how he made it through.

Where do you get that information, mind I ask?
FaOi and DOi = 16 shows. Seems alright it he only does JUST 16. :)

I just had to laugh at the 'just 16' shows, it still sounds like a lot to me but I'm not familiar with how many is too many. How many shows did Yuzuru did last summer?

Hanyu-san will go to all show of FaOI 2015. Javier and Plusshenko will go too.
Hanyu-san also go to DOI 2015 too.
:cheer:

Edit: seems like those sites are down atm. But i can access them using japan vpn.

In 2011/2012 season he did about 60 shows, as because of earthquake he was using them to train, last year he did 40-50.

From this list, he did about 42 shows last summer on top of that shooting 5 commercials, numerous awards & events, sendai parade, magazines and interviews. He basically has not rest at all after Olympic.

I hope he does less shows this year, and get fully rest and train in Toronto.

40-50 ice shows in summer of 2014 is a lot for Yuzu, especially with his physical condition. He basically did not have a well deserve rest after the Olympic. His competitions are doing much less than that during off season thus they have enough rest, recover their physical condition and can train fully. Yuzu was at disadvantage against his competitors who were more prepared than him this season.

He was doing ice shows less than this during the summer of 2013 just before Olympic, that's why he was in top condition, able to train fully and was very prepared during the Olympic season. I hope to see that healthy and fully trained Yuzuru again for next season.

noone can beat nobu haha  its not surprise that he is doing DOI and FOI, i think its safe to count SOI and PIW out which mean like 20 shows less than last year, there is only TOI we dont have any info about, which is good news for our prince:laugh:

I knew about the 60 shows in 2011...but 50 ice shows last year after a hectic Olympic season? Goodness me, this guy never gets a break and is too nice to say no.

Right now I experience what it's like to turn into a squeaky toy  asdfüpoi. oh God I'm going to be insufferable for weeks now

Ya know, I think the universe is messing with me. 10 days ago I was afraid that my whole holiday might fall through, and now this. I think the universe is trying to make up with me  this is a really good first step

I'm sure I'll write something afterwards, I'm just not quite sure when that will be, because my travel companion (aka mommy) is going to kill me if I spend too much time writing reports

(and I'm sorry, I know we all want him to rest and to not overdo it with the ice shows again and I'm all for that and don't begrudge him even one single day of free time but *more squeaking* I can't help it. I'm sorry. A little bit. I guess. Sorry. I really can't help it.)

I wish they had not announced today about DOI and FaOi... I have tickets for FaOi Makuhari (not good seats), and I have already been trying to get tickets to FaOi Kobe as I live near Kobe, but four lotteries have turned up nothing for me. And now it will be impossible to get anything. Yahoo Auctions are selling Kobe tickets for up to 90,000 yen already. I love off-season shows, and I am a total Yuzu fan, but the crooked way of ticket selling in Japan is frustrating at best. Now it will be impossible for FaOi and DOI...

Why oh why can't I live in a country where FS is not popular?!? :drama:

We understand Pamina.

I'm just hoping that he does not overdo it with too many obligations, he only has 3 more competitive years and I wish him to have no regrets when he retires .

how does that work anyway? You can't just buy the tickets? I had the hotel get the tickets for me because all the ticket sites were in Japanese and my Japanese is, ehm  not sufficient

careful what you wish for ;) there are like 12 hours on a plane and a whole lot of coincidence between me and FaOI  would you prefer that?

The tickets are in such demand that there are lotteries held and with a corrupt ticket selling system in Japan (not just for FS, but for most major events), it takes inside connections or 3-6X the list price to get secure premium seating to many events. Hotels must get a secure number ahead of time. Lucky for you! I am glad that it worked out for you, but that is not to say that I think the system isn't in need of serious reform. IMHO.

You are right. I should look at it in a more positive light... :agree:

I have a mixed feelings.. I have tickets for FAOI Makuhari and Kanazawa, so I'm happy that i can see him. At the same time, I deeply hope he will take a fully rest. Is he going to do so after all shows finish (probably, the last show will be the beginning of July, FaOI Kobe) ?

Anyway, I will report your guys of yuzu in detail:). Sorry, my ticket are not good sheets:no:.

FaOI Makuhari will be broadcast on BS and CS asahi! But yuzu tends to fail jumps when cameras are in..
