As always my "report" will be a bit of a mess because I have no idea what I'm talking about, but you should be used to that by now
We arrived at the event hall around 1pm. We had to move to another hotel today and I wanted to get to the event hall early in case we don't find the right trains or whatever. We ended up getting there much earlier than I had intended. But when we got there, the first people were already standing in line. I tried to ask around if they were only waiting to get in or why there was a line, because I was pretty sure that the ticket said that the doors would open at 3 pm. It took some doing, but in the end I figured out that they were waiting to get in because they were waiting to buy all that stuff they were selling inside.
Well, since we were already there..... we just wanted to go to the supermarket next door to get something to eat and drink before we'd get in line as well. Big mistake. I now have 3 boxed of gum that I really don't need. But I also have
these pretty little things (ignore the FaOI program, that one I bought later. Without gum). From one of the pictures there was a whole bunch left, but the other two were the last ones there. Yay =)
So when we got back from buying gum that I really don't need, we got in line. It was just a tiny bit crazy.
This was my view to the front. And
that was the line behind me like an hour before the doors would open. If you look far, far back, somewhere in the middle of that bridge, that's where the queue was about to end. I did not quite expect that much crazy to be honest. And as soon as those doors opened, everybody moved like three steps forward. They didn't get pushy or anything, but people were obviously anxious to get in. And as soon as they were in, the running started. And, well, monkey see, monkey do – I just ran after them
And then I couldn't help myself and bought a whole lot of more stuff that I really don't need. But it's all so very pretty and I just
can't say no to pretty. (it's a weakness I've learned to accept)
I bought so much stuff here, it's so embarrassing. I bought like, I think, a total of 7 or 8 magazines. I already got some before today, but then they had all that stuff at FaoI. And I just can't say no to the pretty pictures
: (this is very stupid, I can't even read all that stuff. But all the pretty pictures were calling for me. I couldn't help myself). I didn't get in line for the T-Shirt or the picture message thingies. I had no idea what they were selling inside and there was just one line after another and I didn't feel like getting in each and every one (besides, I ran out of cash, so that made the decision fairly easy)
The show was great. Our seats were actually not all that bad. We were in area K at the far end of the rink, row 9. But it wasn't too far away from the ice and we still got to see everything beautifully so I was happy. And this is the kind of cast that you dream about. There was just one amazing skater after another, it was a complete overdose (of the good kind). Everybody was extremely awesome tonight. (TV broadcast A game I'm guessing?!) I won't even start swooning over Yuzuru because I still need to get some sleep tonight and I'm just
..… every time I see this guy, I love him a little more. From where I was sitting, he really looked like he was on fire at the opening number (can't wait to get my hands on the videos so I can get a closer look). Love the updated grown up version of vertigo. Loved the other EX program as well, that was just really beautful. Both programs are quite different, but I think he has what it takes to pull them both off (so maybe I was swooning just a little bit)
I didn't hate the orange costume. The color takes some getting used to, I'll admit that. And somebody said that the back part was a bit too "elaborate". I might agree with that. The back looks a bit strange when he's not moving. It looked like it was just too long somehow and it looked, ehrm, just a bit weird around the butt part. All in all I didn't hate it, but it also wasn't love at first sight.
And I'm so immensely proud of myself that I recognized that he landed that darn 4Lo at the end. I'm just the worst when it comes to spotting jumps, but I was fairly certain that I'd gotten that one right tonight.

Pamina, take care of yourself, but don't worry too much. Japanese buildings are very quake-proof.
We're actually doing ok here, thanks everyone. I think the creepiest part was that we didn't know what was going on at the time. The train was shaking pretty badly and then the doors of the train closed and it kept shaking and there were some announcements in Japanese. And we were just sitting there and had no idea what was going on because, seriously, at first I was so not thinking about an earthquake. Trains shake. Whatever. But usually they don't get quiet as shaky when they're not moving. And for somebody who has zero experience with shaking grounds, one minute can get pretty damn long. I'm just glad people around us kept their cool all the time. Actually we only fully realized that it had in fact been an earthquake when we got back to the hotel and there was this whole crisis management going on in the lobby.
Speaking of which, the elevators got back into business around midnight. Sitting around for 2.5 hours definitely beats walking up 22 floors (I only watch other people doing sports. I have my principles). It's now past 2 AM and I think I'll squeeze in some sleeping now. I still have some more sightseeing to do tomorrow
and yeah, he is great senpai
