arty: can't wait to see the program!
It is dark purple not black used as the accent color. Dark purple seems to be the color for Onmyoji (a yin-yang master), but I'm not sure.

My sentiments exactly. I was thinking it's time he has an LP that highlights his Japanese heritage, but that he might be saving that for the Olympics. Now I really, really want to see even the bare bones of the program and whether or where we'll see his signature Biellmann spin and layback Ina Bauer.

As to your question, I think Nobu skated to Storm by the Yoshida Brothers in 2010
EDIT: I just realised Storm might not be really traditional-ish although it uses the shamisen (?)

He can use as many frills as he likes now. As long as he keeps the costume he's got for the LP.
