2015 Summer Fan Fest Fete! Updates!

i would like to update Richard Dornbush's OP if noone else is planning, but i guess it will be more difficult than other threads i did since he is competing for long time and old videos will be harder to find :biggrin:

So true! My nightmare is having to do an OP for Dasa Grm, who has competed in over 70 competitions, most of them small, and not finished well.

Consequently, there are not many videos, and they are hard to find.

ETA, I have put both your names in the Update in Progress list in the first post of this thread.

I am working on Yanovskaya & Mozgov, the 2015 World Junior Dance Champions.

On the plus side, at least you will not be getting lots of videos of people who happen to have the same name! :laugh:

The video section is what I am dreading about Jenna McCorkell's Fan Fest. Finding competition results was not too bad (Tracings.net is great for that!), but the lack of organisation on YouTube makes finding videos a nightmare. :drama:

I am praying for the day that YouTube gets a proper search facility with lots of options to sort the results by. Just like you have on it's parent site, Google. :cool:

And that goes for the other video sharing sites like Daily Motion and Vimeo as well!

:laugh: Florent is at a close 60 competitions. I'm having some trouble finding his older nationals....is there a french streaming site I can try looking at? :think:

The French label their video up loads in French, not English, and youtube does not translate. Furthermore, if there are any diacritical marks in a word, the search is often screwed up.

Also, dailymotion is a French site, so a lot of older French videos are on there. The dailymotion search is particularly bad. I search it using Google as in :slink:

I have finally finished the OP for Anna Yanovskaya & Sergey Mozgov. I am not sure why this one took.me such a long time, other than losing two versions of it.

i kinda count on you to find thread and article pages and i feel really bad about it cause i am not good at finding stuff :hopelessness: :slink: so i am glad you find few tricks :biggrin:
i can update Mr Prince Charming's aka Michal Brezina's page next but that might take loong time, he has really long history :laugh: of course if anyone else planning to
