2025-26 Russian Nationals Men's Short Program

Top three measure up well internationally against guys like Sato, Grassl, Shairdorov. Siao Him Fa and Amoz a little unreliable as well but probably have a higher ceiling.

Kagiyama is probably little out of reach for Petr especially if if skates like in the GP final, but that won't always happen.

BTW: Medvedeva is a lovely commentator. Want her back often. She has put enormous work into presentation/media practice. Surpasses her skater-turned-host colleagues by a margin IMO.

At least they gave him his deserved 100.
I think he is the only one to score over 100 this season besides Gumennik. Сonsidering that the judging is stricter, it seems fair. I think Mark could have scored that much on a good day.

TBH in men's SP, nothing is surprising. I think biggest surprise is Dikidzhi falling.
It doesn't feel like Vlad's season. I don't see any objective reasons like an injury or anything like that. It's probably due to attempts of making the layout more difficult and increased expectations.

This top 3 after SP seems familiar, we have already seen this quad haha.

Top 4th place finisher is also the same.

Why out of reach? When is the last time Kagiyama landed cleap 4 flip and 4 Lutz?

It was a lovely skate, but the 4lz last rotation was finished on the ice. It was called under, but it could have been downgraded. In any event, it wasn't clean
