He did 4T-3T? Wow! He hasn't tried quad in combination since 2012 so I was wondering how it could look like! His quads are huge but for some reason he doesn't do them in combination. Are they bad?

It's because of layout of program. He gets more points by moving all combinations to 2nd half, so I guess that's the main reason he was not doing quad combinations

I think he planned to add a 4T-2T combo in the FP last season but because of health issues, decided to cut it out. But it is definitely great to see him do the 4T-3T again, which wasn't so stable in his 2011-2012 SP programme. It think it was only ever landed in practice but never in competition (?) (can someone confirm this?).

Yes, he has never landed it in competition, came closest in 2012 Worlds where he landed 4T - 2T. I think it was because in the 2011-12 season (the only season where he had the 4T-3T planned in his program) was that his 4T itself wasn't that stable. I recall Brian describing Yuzuru as a "gambler" in that regard. Anyway, I don't think he needs that jump combo now with a second kind of quad plus 3A combos (and now a 4T combo) in the second half.

I also want him back training ASAP.

Well, show season is over. Hope Yuzuru go back to Canada to train hard and be able achieve what he wants with his new programs.

Don't think this 4T-3T will be on the competition since he already have 4T and 3A planned in combo. But he did tried some 4T-3T during this year's show, maybe I can still expect him put 4T-3T in the second half of his new short program?

Welcome to the forum gloriakazu! It could be that he may do it in the SP, I guess it would be matter on whether the 4T+3T is more consistent than his 3Lz+3T

Thanks for posting this!! So we have three skaters that have attempted a quad axel....that we have video of....

1. Max Aaron...he was in a safety harness at practice...he posted his attempt on instgram and was the most fully rotated of the three (about 1/4 rotation off) If you want to see a link, please check my blog

2. Takahito Mura...decent attempt but under rotated...fearless...but then again, hes the guy who did quad, quad combo jump. The link to the quad quad jump is also on my previous blog entry.

3. Yuzu!!! Under rotated, needs about half turn, but fearless and I'm sure he will land one soon....hopefully someone will get it on video!!! But...I also hope he stops for awhile in case he gets injured....

If someone wants the blog entry link, let me know. Didn't want to repost it since I already did it before.
