Victoria Sinitsina & Nikita Katsalapov

Ah, I heard about his injury. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be very serious. I wish them the best of luck next season. :)

Just saw a photo on Viki's Facebook page and was going to post it to the future prospects thread, as it seemed like an appropriate place.

However, I had never ventured into that thread before, as I expected it to be very negative. And sure enough, it was. In fact, after only looking at the final 2 pages, I ran away!

So, into this thread it goes instead!

EDIT: Here's another photo from the same shoot

Well, if the skating doesn't work out, Viki definitely has a future as an commercial model.

We all knew she was gorgeous. But, judging by this, I bet she could sell ice to the Eskimos!

Either that or instantly melt it for them!

I know, she is so gorgeous  and always looks so natural.

I think they probably will. IIRC last season they wanted to do Finlandia but their FD wasn't ready yet so they pulled out.

Marina said they would do Finlandia last year but they were never on the entry list.

New interview with Marina Zoueva, their coach: http://fsrussia.ru/intervyu/1117-marina-zueva-muzyka-dolzhna-podcherkivat-silnye-storony-pary.html (Russian).
Music: SD- waltz from "Swan Lake" with parts of march and polka, FD- Andrea Bocelli and Lang Lang, not specified, love themed.
They plan to take part in their group small competitions and will show their programs for public in Sochi during the pre-season open skates. She mentioned Karponosov was in US, both programs were very well received by specialists.

Probably Io Ci Saro.

Would love for them to use the other parts of swan lake esp. the opening scenes (peasant waltz).

It was a treat! Just picturing Nikita with the Zen Buddhism book made my day. I hope the kids will have a better season this year.

Well, i got a real treat for you. Translation of this interview http://prosport-online.ru/article-3765-nikita-kacalapov where Nikita talks about his decision to move to Detroit, his new life there, about the last season and the future. Young athlete, move to another country, young girl who can't speak English by his side, old Chrysler... Romantic!

Thank you SO MUCH for posting the link to this. IMMENSELY entertaining and--dare I say--revealing, perhaps in ways Mr Katsalapov never intended...

YMMV of course.
