Brian Joubert

Brian stayed Japan for the past 1 month and appeared on Ice shows in several cities. I loved him when he was competing, but never saw him live. This summer, I could see him live at some Ice shows for the first time, I came to love him more. He was much handsome than I'd watched him on TV. Further, his expression was delicate and elegant. And I was impressed with his personality.

This episode is a surprise! He had the enouth nerve to try quad without hesitation although he’d never practiced it:).

I'm so glad that he not only lived up to your expectations - but exceeded them! And his being even handsomer in real life - that does say a lot, seeing as he isn't exactly hard on the eyes on the telly either. ;)

I'm so happy that he will compete at Japan Open! I wonder what program he will skate. I sort of wish he would skate Inception because I think it's a beautiful program. Or Gladiator.

Inception.... (sighs sadly) That would indeed be lovely, but I don't expect it...

Anyway, it’s the first time Brian will skate the competition program after Sochi. I'm looking forward to which program he will bring back!

The venue has huge capacity of 15000-18000. It’s nice to see Brian perform in such a huge audience. Of course, Japanese FS fans know about his contribution to figure skate for a long time and have a deep gratitude to him. There will be warm welcome and applause. What’s more, he came to Japan several times and acquires new fans after Sochi! :)

Yup, yup! Those Japanese fans are CRAZY! (In the good way.)

Not to mention that Joubert won his world title in 2007 in Tokyo! He's very popular there. There are some fluffs of him and his fans going HAM in order to talk to him.

The French fed is always bashing skaters who dont train in Paris, anyway. It's good to see some of them try to escape the dictatorship of Gailhaguet. Good luck to Brian in his new role I'm sure he will be brilliant.

Maybe that's a reason they don't like it? It's out of their immediate view.

Anyway, good luck Brian!

And I'm looking forward to seeing him at Japan Open.:)

It's funny because for ice dance, Didier doesn't want them anywhere near France. He forced P/B and C/J to move to Shpilband right before the Sochi season and pulled P/C's funding when they refused to leave their French coaches and follow his orders.

It's still pretty concerning that Didier is next in line to take over the ISU. :slink:

I'm still baffled. That man's logic is beyond my understanding. Why he loves screwing his own skaters over and over again.

What logic? You shouldn't be putting that word in the same sentence with DG.... ;)
