2015 Skate America Mens FS Oct 24

Mura - a pop mess

Amodio - a mess

Denis - a mess

Adian - good performance for him

Shoma - poor him; great free skate; would've won with a a good program and fair components

Jason - okay performance

Max - good jumps but choreographically very subpar program

you forgot better landings and less sloppiness.

Idk if I'm happy about Aaron's win because yay he won but like I highly doubt he'll back it up at his next GP and qualify for the GPF... He needs at least bronze to solidify his spot right?

I don't think anyone thought he'd win here so I guess ya just never know. Let the man and his fans at least a have an hour to relish in it.

Home ice PCS inflation much....

No way.... 81 points was fine... the judges got it right. Even with 80 points PCS he still would have won.

Let's be honest people, in this competition, taking Short Program and long Program into account, he was totally the cleanest skater... maybe not the best artistic skater, but he very much deserved the win.

I think he does, but perhaps, he could even finish 4th and qualify  TEB has a tough field: Patrick, Denis (uncertain condition but still Olympic Bronze), Shoma (2nd round!), Daisuke, Maxim...but who knows? It's always uncertainty with the guys

I just want to know who's predictions didn't go down the drain with this podium, because, save for Jason, I got my placements all wrong. But I'm still happy with the result.

I definitely think he could pull it off!

I don't begrudge him the win, I begrudge that atrocious program.

Congratulations to Max, Shoma and Jason. What a great podium.
I may be wrong but I think that Jason had the highest PCS for the short and the long. Think of the potential there.

You are correct; Jason had the highest PCS in both programs.

I agree Max was overscored on PCS, but it's really, really hard to deny being generous when a skater lights up an arena like Max just did. Same thing happened under 6.0. Which is why PCS should just be one score tbh instead of trying to break it down into categories the judges don't pay attention to anyway. And this isn't a slight against Max! He made some magic happen in the arena. Very exciting!
