Max Aaron

BTW, another athlete won the Team USA award (announced Oct 3).

The male winner was Richard Browne, a Paralympian below-the-knee amputee who is a sprinter. Congratulations to him .

And congratulations again to Max for his nomination :).

Our SnuggleBat seems to enjoy being adorable and bromantic. More cuteness from Skate America practice!

Thx, karne :).
I must say I can't even pinpoint why I find those pics so cute, but these two are very cute together.
It's as if Max is trying to keep them both on track with their bows, as Jason succumbs to an attack of the giggles??

Maybe there was a funny moment we missed just out of shot? It's so cute either way.

So, I was just watching the medal ceremony from Skate America again, and I noticed something this time. After Shoma takes his bows for the audience, he skates towards the podium, where Max is of course already standing, applauding him. Shoma then bows to Max, to show him his respect, and Max bows his head back. What a lovely little moment of sportsmanship from Shoma!

Just re-reading some older posts in the thread, and enjoying the predictions that were...reasonably accurate. ;)

I also definitely think he could place above Jason here. A lot of people seem to think Jason has this in the bag but I don't really get why. If Max goes clean with these programs I think he's a force to be reckoned with.

:2thumbs:

The Short will be the key in my opinion. Split second confidence.

:yes2:

I think he can beat any of the skaters here.
If Max can lay down a short like at Nebelhorn but with better spins, he'll be hard to beat.

We had faith in our SnuggleBat, and so far, it has paid off. I can't wait for this weekend and TEB!

Just dropped in to wish Maxwell Theodore podium finish at TEB, I hope now you believe in yourself Max, you can make it :yes2:

I am also rooting for Max and praying he can podium! He only needs a medal to go to GPF which would be like a dream come true :yahoo:

Thx to karne for leading off our cheers for Max as he competes at :bmrk: 2015 TEB :bmrk:.

Adding my own best wishes for Max to those from everyone else.

ohmygosh I'm so nervous. Why is it only Tuesday? Come faster, weekend!

Can you imagine if he did make the GPF? Oh, the red faces that would undoubtedly ensue!

I know he "only" needs to medal and I know our SnuggleBat will lay down two great skates but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

I think now he is more confident about his ability to put 2 good performances back to back. I will be so happy if he makes it. Sometimes I am laughing very hard when folks here are so biased that they say Max isn't "Artistic" (hate the word) enough while they are boosting some young jumping machines.

I also can't wait to see what his Black Swan looks like now! If they could make that radical change in three weeks between Nebelhorn and Skate America, then I am certain they will have made improvements in the three weeks between Skate America and now!

I just root for the choreo sequence to make a comeback...

it must have literally only just happened. he wasnt on there before.

ot but karne has a broken wrist and apologises for typos. stupid slipprty ice.

I think he might have been a later entry because I checked the entries a while ago and I don't recall him being on the list. I mean, I may have just missed him, but I certainly didn't know until just now that he was entered. Maybe I am just blind!

ETA: Just saw that Karne confirms my recall. Get well soon, Karne! :console:

Just saw on either Ice Network or Sylvia's twitter. Feel bad for Tim Dolensky, who is now a sub:sad21:

Karne: broken wrist: bad, bad, bad ice! :noshake:Heal quickly

Oh that is sad honestly if the assignment was taken from Tim. Frankly, though I am always delighted to see Max, something I think the USFSA is extraordinarily, shamefully bad at is getting their B team skaters enough exposure at Senior B's. They often do give their A team multiple assignments that their need for is questionable while letting their B team languish and gather dust, and even don't enter the maximum number of skaters they'd be allowed to even though it wouldn't cost them anything to do so. I actually made another rant about this recently specifically regarding the US ladies, but it happens in all 4 disciplines and to me it is senseless.

Ok done. Sorry to pollute the fan thread with this.
