I think speaking *only* strategically and ignoring any interpersonal issues or emotional considerations, it's always a bit of a risky move to change coaches mid-season, and doing so tends to create a series of predictable issues through the rest of the season. (I do know and agree there are exceptions, but I am speaking broadly). However, in real life, you can't ignore what you feel is right and any interpersonal or emotional issues that come up. So basically I agree that if this is what she really wants, her happiness and emotional well being is most important. Even if in a total worst case scenario this messes up the rest of her season a bit, this isn't an important year in the scheme of things, and this way she'll have 6 more months of working with him under her belt before serious preparation for next season starts which can be valuable in its own right.
I really do hope this will help her to move in a new, positive direction, not just with her skating, but also personally :agree:
