The same person made a prediction of the next stage With 5 Quads in the FS, 340 points total.
Who knows, maybe it will come true as well.
I think it's in his dream. :roll9: But I don't think he will do 5 quads. I think 4 quads LP might happen though. :hpull:

So, what are you guys' thoughts about him peaking early in the season? Are you guys worried or excited? It's just I have a good feeling about this because I don't think I've ever seen him this confident before, which there's nothing wrong with that because that's the perfect mindset to have for a competitive sport like figure skating.

I have decided to try not to worry. If this is the peak of the season, then it was a MIGHTY HUGE peak and it will be the highlight of the season no matter what happens next.
It will all depend on Yuzu-as always. He may continue upward, he may have some more dips in performace...it's all up to him. I used to hope deep down that other skaters wouldn't do as well as Yuzu so that he could win...but that's not how I think now.

Yuzu must earn each win, each time, and that's the way he wants it to be.

-Doesn't mean I won't have a near heart attack every time he competes though.

I think he is keeping getting better and better with every competition trough season. I don't think he has just one peaking point, he just haveto saty healthy and skate consistently

We all know every skater will have his good.or bad days, but I truly think that two perfect skates in on competition would be a breakthrough!
And to me, this should really be the official first season after his Olympics gold medal!

For me, after this there is almost nothing to worry anymore. Even if he doesn't win world or Olympic again, his legacy is already established.

Well said  The first Japanese male figure skater to win an olympic gold (actually, the only athlete to bring a gold home for Japan at the Sochi Olympics). His historic short program that passed the 100 mark. His three gold wins for the olympic season (GPF, Olympics, & Worlds), and now his 3-time WR for the short, long, and total. The most exciting thing about this is he's only 20 years old (nowhere near his prime yet!) and we still have a couple more seasons with him. He is still capable of making more historic skates. What an exciting time for men's figure skating!

Speaking of family crests, I remember watching a Mother's Day program featuring Nobu and his mother. Mrs. Oda said that as a young bride she was scolded for a flower arrangement that she made. Why? It included the bellflower (kikyo), the family crest of Akechi Mitsuhide, the traitor who led the rebellion against Nobunaga.

Hopefully Nobu's wife made no such mistake.

wow, sounds strict! But understandably so, Oda is a prestigious family.

welcome to forum!! unfortunately he doesnt have any SNS account :sad21:

He's stunning :D

There is a shot where he is looking at himself in the mirror; I think he is saying to himself "hey I look good!" in that scene.

So what are you guys looking forward to for the rest of this season or beyond, program wise, achievement wise, costume wise, choreography wise?
Seeing Nanami-sensei again during NHK gala reminded me that I've wanted her to choreograph another program for him again; for competition or for exhibition. Yours?

Yea!!! And the fact that he's still 20 only is so so so mind boggling!! OMG!

Same thoughts there--but WHAT IF after all those legacy--HE WINS OLYMPICS AGAIN? Imagine what would happen.
That might be the time I'll finally die. (To think I'm starting to pray for Pyeongchang as early as now. Well I bet some people in here prayed earlier. Right after Sochi perhaps? If so, I totally salute you!!:gclap:)
Let's start the prayer marathon for Pyeongchang Olympics!!!
