I remember that Wakaba wanted to podium at Nationals this year and I thought it wasn't going to happen... But it just might!

i can imagine all the talk about her UR/PR issue but i will just stick with being happy now hopefully Yuzuru will skate clean (i wouldnt mind a mistake or 2 but he minds it and his happiness is important ) and finish the day on a high note!!

Who would've thought that coming back would be that hard? Hang in there Mao. Still...if Kanako makes the podium, please send her at least to 4CC. I'm so happy she did well. Also Rika. Fun stuff.

Yes to Satoko and Rika ruling the ladies (outside of Russia) with their consistency. Also, I'm very happy for Wakaba for pulling out an almost clean program. She's had a rough JGP season so I hope she comes back strong in the second half of the season.

Mao makes me sad, but looking at the bright side: she's only fallen on her 3A in the short once! The rest have been landed. She's always capable of winning every comp she enters with her arsenal, so I hope she can get it together for the Free. I doubt she wouldn't be chosen for the Worlds team unless she absolutely bombs which I definitely don't hope for. Good luck in the Free, Mao, and SLAY IT!

Congrats to Kana for skating a clean short! I hope she does well too in the Free. I'm so ready to watch her SP! I don't think the Fed would choose her Worlds, unfortunately, but I hope she makes a case for 4CC.

The biggest shocker: Yuna Shiraiwa skating first and holding on to 1st until Rika skated. Wow! She received a standing ovation, yes? Good for her, hopefully she continues to do well in the Free.

The rest of the ladies are so close to each other, I don't doubt we'll see some shifts in the rankings. Personally, I'm hoping Marin pulls up and Yuna Aoki does well too! Yuna A didn't have a great JGP season either but she's definitely one to watch. Marin is a bit of a headcase, but she's wonderful when she's on.

Also I hope Yuka doesn't pop in the Free and skates great! I can see her on the Jr. World team again if she wants to go back, but her chances for the 3rd Worlds spot seem bleak. Perhaps 4CC? I'd love to see her again before the season ends...

Congrats too to Rin Nitaya for a clean program! I didn't think she would, but I'm happy she did. Same goes for Haruka, though it seems like there were some URs in there. Anyway, hopefully videos come out soon after the broadcast and we get to see most of the ladies.

Gosh the ladies are not at their best today (except the consistent queens of course). Was it because of the weather in Sapporo? I watched the news and there is a blizzard in Hokkaido. I hope it wasn't because of that
