Skaters on Team Japan

Worse, someone who was at the men's competition told me it didn't look like the cameras were even operating until the last two groups. So there might not even be footage available for "complete" broadcasts sometime later :-/
i think Japan TV Stations loves to archieve videos , so hopefully they recorded it! (just being hopefull cause i really want to see Koshiro's LP :sad21:)

I think they do, but sadly unless Koshiro breaks through a big time, they would not release his LP in the near future. The overall quality of Japanese camera works is superb as seen even in video clips of 92 and 94 Olympic performances.

Usually, when they re-broadcast figure skating competitions at their BS channel, they show less commercials compared to the ones aired at their normal channel for the first time, as far as I remember. So, this is one reason why I'm expecting to see Koshiro's and some other skaters performances next month. Not a big one, but still it is a hope :coffee:

If that happens, there is a possibility for fans outside of Japan to find uploaded clips on YouTube. That's good. :)

I found that Fuji TV will broadcast the Nationls, Mens SP and FS, Ladies SP and FS at their cable channel CS Fuji One from 15:30 - 24:00 midnight today :yahoo:

I sincerly hope they will cut the commercials they showed last time. Fingers crossed.

I'm rather sure someone will upload it if Koshiro's FS and other skaters SP and FS that have not been aired are shown.

That's great news :) Hopefully we can watch performances that weren't aired earlier.

Thanks for the info SuziQ!

Do we know yet, if they are showing more skaters than the "somewhat live" broadcasts before?

I tried to check myself but no luck yet... I connected to our DVR in Japan (via Slingbox) to see if it is recording the CS Fuji One programs... (it should automatically record all figure skatiing programs). But it doesn't seem to show them in its recording schedules ;_; (I could be wrong though... I'm not exactly great at operating it on my own, with everything being written in Kanji and all).

Right now I can see it's busy recording Ladies at Russian Nationals on J-Sports 4 (with Yukiko Okabe commentating! Yay!)... and it's not letting me switch to CS to look for the Fuji One channel. This may mean it is recording a second program right now, and it doesn't have enough TV tuners to let me see anything else while it's doing that. So maybe it is recording CS Fuji One. I don't know, I'll have to wait and see...

CS Fuji has just started showing Mens FS from Sei Kawahara in the 3rd group.

A big sigh and

BS Fuji broadcasting in January 2016 will be 25 minutes longer for Mens FS. Our last hope

I've watched figure skating over 8 hours today. No commercials, but no Koshiro's FS :sad4:

I want the next Figure Skate TV! Japan Nationals Special (scheduled on 10th Jan.) to focus on young skaters including Koshiro. I'm sure they have received so many requests. Shame on me :hslap: I should have requested them myself to air Koshiro's FS

EDIT: Oh by the way, I found this page interesting.

That is an interesting page SuzyQ! I like the interviews with the winners of novice nats. I knew they probably would not show Koshiro. It will be interesting to see what they do show on that special on the 10th. But it was reported that people at the rink believed the early mens FS were not being taped at all :/

What I'm most interested in right now is seeing the performances that aired but I still can't find online :dev2: Mentioning so much makes me annoying I know and I don't want to whine because the DM channel that uploaded so many videos did a great of uploading what they did, but it just dives me crazy knowing there's something out there somewhere and I can't find it  I used to be very good at finding all sorts of hard to find videos but the websites I used to use have gone down over the last few years.

Anyway I did find Yuhana's EX uploaded on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMHWT0Tc9A0 it's not a great video but there it is.

Working my way through this lovely TV program called Both Side , recapping Japan Nationals with tons of backstage footage and behind the scene stories. This is only the Men's part I believe; don't know if there's a full one. It's definitely worth a watch if you understand Japanese (or semi-understand it like me). I can't' stand watching Rika cry...:sad21:

Skaters and coaches are so nice to each other. I love all of them :hap10:

Edit:

Translations of the part from 23:00 - of the full version.

Shoma: (Failed 4T) I jumped 2T at the last.
Takahito: Hahaha
Shoma: I failed the first one and thought "Damn it!!" and tried at the last and failed again (Laughs)

Ryuju advised to Shoma: I thought you should have replaced 3Lz with 4T?
Shoma: I thought that. But, I was afraid as what I should do if I fail 4T, then fail 3Lz as well.
Ryuju: I mean, It could be OK if you jump 4T, then axcel and flip at the last. Why are you so particular about including Lutz?
Shoma: But the point is higher. Then, I'll do 4T+1Lo+3F (Laughter) Totally impossible though, haha.
Ryuju: Have you succeeded it before?
Shoma: Yes, I have.
Ryuju: I knew you have

4T+1Lo+3F :hap57:
How crazy.
