I can't believe that there's around 300 Koreans watching the live stream of a U.S figure skating competition :eeking:

It is Friday morning in Korea, so maybe Friday is like a light-work day for them.

No Karne, Just No! There's not a Coach on this planet who sends their US National Champion and Olympian to Nationals in OLD BOOTS. It Doesn't Happen!!!

Particularly when boots are gratis at her level. (don't know this about Mirai specifically, but know it to be the case for other comparable skaters) Many coaches recommend a spare pair ordered ahead of the break down of the current boots and insist the new boots are brought to Nationals.
At this level, you are your equipment. Fine if there is a glitch, but wearing down is inexcusable for someone of Mirai's or her coach's experience.

Nope. You do get credit for both jumps. On the protocol it will be written 3Lz+COMBO and 3Lo, both with a BV and GOE. There's just no 3T anywhere because she didn't do it on any jump.

ETA: as an example, someone said that Tyler Pierce's name sounds like a celebrity's name. A lot of them commented at the start of her skate that she looked pretty, too, which I thought was cute
