PS: Pogo needs a coach to help her learn to fall. I get anxious watching her that something will go very wrong. But, she's a beautiful young woman and has nice carriage despite hunching over on landings. She's not as bad as Butyrskaya in terms of stiff knees, but it's part of her problem. She needs to absorb her landing in her knees a bit more softly and her jumps would finish more cleanly.

No because I find them entertaining even with splats/pops. I was shocked how much I like Pogo SP at NHK/Euros even with the pop/falls, that's a pretty good program for her. Morozov was definitely a good choice as a choreographer, even her LP I somewhat like. Years prior, I didn't like her at all. Still not a fan, but I can see why people like her, splats and all. She does have two things I like, speed and power.
ETA: And it makes me mad when people were predicting her to fall at Euros and was for sure she would and be kicked off the team for Worlds. She earned her spot fair and square. Outside of the Juniors and besides Med/Rad, I can't think of anyone out skating her this season, Tukt/Lip/Sot included. I hope she kicks butt at Worlds.
I never said anything about Leonova messing up :think:, that lady is just pure entertainment and I want to see her before she retires. Her choreo is EVERYTHING
and her LP music cuts are so random (hot mess) yet so good :agree:ETA: Another thing I like about Leonova is that she never gives up on the choreography, no matter how bad the jumps are, she continues to sell it like her life depends on it and I love her for that

I like anna's program too but dont want to see her fall it looks scary and oftentimes she does that in competition..As for leonova i just want her to retire and focus on something..with the younger talents coming in like storm there's just not enough space for her..And for the 3rd spot for worlds,doesn't matter who they gonna send Russia will not sweep the podium anyway..there's the japanese and US ladies to consider but if Radionova and Medvedeva skate clean they'd be 1 nd 2..

When she falls and messes up her program, I want someone to just hug her and tell her it's going to be alright and her coach makes me mad when she doesn't do that, she seems so..........cold to Anna at times. But maybe that's not Pogo thing
I'm still sad that her attempted move to Buyanova didn't work out. Hopefully she stays with Morozov as a choreographer, he did her good this season.

I have not been the biggest fan of Pogo's coach for the exact reasons you cite, but she did seem better at Euros. Not all cold and distant like she could care less as she seemed in the past. I remember looking at her thinking give the girl a little comfort.

Hahahaha us ladies wont reach podium. Even if they r at home. Way too many russian and japanese skaters that are better l. Highest they will end up is 4th. Thwy have no consistency. As much as i like wagner, which i do i find they are nit podium ready.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. If Gracie stays clean she will be on the podium, and if she skates lights out the judges may even give the title to her, depending on how Zhenia does. The home advantage counts for something and ISU will rather avoid losing more of the US market, if the ladies give them a chance. For the Americans it's now or never.
Who would have honestly thought that Adelina would have won an OGM when she did? A US lady will medal at Worlds if the judges are given even the slightest reason to justify it.

Yeah i know its not about winning sometimes its just about doing something you loved but she's not getting any younger and practically speaking she's not gonna go far in figure skating better for her to do something that will secure her future..

Well if she is still skating then I would think the love for the sport is still there. She'll retire when she's ready. Now if only she can get an invite to Skate America before she retires, I'll be happy.
And I just read that Ade found Ponsart a sponsor to support his skating to train in the US since the French fed stop supporting him. My thought immediately went to Pogo, if only she could be so lucky.
It was my first worlds in about 15 years and I was shocked at the price increase. The sales agent I talked with at the box office said that that international federations, sponsors, sports marketing companies, promotional media (for radio giveaways), and skating equipment companies buy up boxes and block seats early on through corporate sales so that they'll be certain to have promotional space and hosting space. I'm so excited! There's no comparison how a live event, especially worlds, distinguishes skating skills. The live speed, height, distance, sound, edging, is so completely different than television. I think Boston will be a great host because it's such a skating-informed city with a great skating legacy!
