I like how he is always willing to try new and difficult stuff, even if it's for an EX that's really cool. (personally I don't like jaz though :o:)

Personally I like Jazz and have some CDs but just a casual fan, usually am not following at all. Actually I prefer to see skaters skate to anything other than jazz/opera.

But for Yuzuru, since he skated to jazz only Sing Sing Sing in the past. So as you said, it can be called that he’s gonna try out new thing and yes, Jazz can be from awesome to awful though I have a faith to his taste in music these days so I’m 98% sure he can pull it off and blow us away with his smexy jazzy program! :o:

Hey guys! Its technically Yuzuru's 2 years since he made his Olympic debut! (if you count the team event ;))

For sure it was pre-recorded in Japan. For how long I don't know. But he looks healthy and happy.

I meant....I thought he was actually in Ghana (Africa) when I read your comment. Was thinking, is figure skating big at all in Ghana? Until I realised it was a Product name in this instance.

Hello, I hope you don't mind me joining so late into the party. I'm trying hard to skim through the 2000-plus pages you have come up with, but am realising now I might never catch up with you. Hope you let me in into the God Yuzuru shrine with that shortcoming. :)

Welcome and post often. :)

never it's late to join into the craziness

You may depend on that. I never thought I'd be able to watch hour-long documentaries without understanding a word. But there you are - the boy has my heart. :) He's incredible.

 He has mine too. Didn't plan or expect it, but there it is. And it has been my privilege and joy to see him grow both as a skater and as a person. He is a treasure.

Yuzuru likes white chocolate.

What I understand with you tube translation ( I had English and afterwards German) is ... nothing.
What I see: He is very politely praising and admiring his Valentines present from Ghana. This is normal japanese form of politeness but correct me as I have a superficial view of Japanese Culture. In the western culture that praising would be much shorter, one or two looks at the chocolate cake, a handshake and a thank you.
May I asked a japanese speaking member what he is saying about himself - just a short resume would be enough - thanks a lot!
At the end- is he saying that he is going to work hard ?
He seems to talk about his mother and his sister. I never hear him mentioning his dad. He is only speaking of his parents. Someone' s got informations ( officially made public, I know, no rumors) about Hanyus father ? Someone' s seen his father (for examle in this music show, where Hanyu was judge)? Sorry that I am so curious...this question is nagging me for a long time.

The Valentines tradition in Japan is that females give chocolate (or other presents) to males; so he was saying that as far as he can remember, he always gets chocolates from his mom and sister. Then he mentioned now he gets all kinds of presents from fans and he hopes his performances can be a form of returning the favours.

You must have not watched the live stream during the Japan Nationals. After every skater, you get to see Yuzu doing a quadruple loop while eating Ghana chocolates.
