You know, I never really notice the toe point in men's skating either, unless it is glaringly obvious. What is more obvious and important, to me, is the body line and stretch, and I think Yuzu has improved in that department and continues to do so. I've looked for his lack of toe point, and can't really identify it enough to think it's a big problem, although I do notice his boots which seem like big clunkers. When Yuzu was younger, particularly the 2012/13 season, I noticed his posture, but that was more in the long program, probably because of his stamina difficulties. This year, I haven't noticed posture issues at all, another area he's improved in. In fact, I always thought his posture and stretch was better than most.
Compare that to Yuna Kim and her glaringly obvious issues with toe point. Her feet always bothered me, but i think a big part of that is that it is far more obvious with women because they usually don't wear pants. The best toe point I ever saw in skates was Maia Usova... wow. When it's done well, it really does make an impact.

Yuzuru does extent his line don't you think? Look at the free leg. He has improved his posture a lot.

I think he will continue the earthquake and red cross charities even beyond his competitive years as these causes are closed to his heart.

i agree! whenever i watch it (not gonna tell how often :biggrin:) i always think its his most effortless quad sal :luv17: i dont know, maybe its the angle but i love it!

It's really perfect in every way. Yuzu's perfect jumps causes me to be extremely harsh in handing out GOE in Perdita's scoring game. :biggrin:

I think the same, since he will still be fairly popular, his name will be of great help in spreading the campaigns :agree:

For me RJ1 it's my favourite too ! ;) And the passion witch he skated with at Worlds 2012 ......unbelievable! :luv17:

A recent survey from The Japan news http://the-japan-news.com/news/article/0002764807 Yuzuru is the second most popular athlete, behind Nishikori. And the article also says that figure skating is the most popular sport in Japan:luv17: I envy all of the japanese, here in my country, only when Javi wins a championship,they talk about it, then is always football and football:disapp:

At least they talk about skating every now and then :/ I won't even get figure skating in the news during the Olympics, and to get some broadcast on your TV you have to pay a very expensive package. I guess that's why sometimes I still get surprised at how popular Yuzu is, every Japanese person I've met knows him.
Oh and you're right, that 4S during the GPF was to die for, I expected nothing less than perfect GOEs after I saw it! :love:
