Pinkerton is the name of the unfaithful American soldier whom Madama Butterfly waited for 3 years on top of a hill in Nagasaki. He said he will come when the robin comes to nest next. But then the robins nested 3 times (3 springs had passed) but Pinkerton had not come back.

When another American soldier came, Madama Butterfly asked "Do robins nest less frequently in America compared to Japan?" Perhaps the robins had not nested for the last 3 years in America.

I don't really feel Elizabeth, she looks so small and juniorish and her jump technique isn't the best neither.

I liked her jazzy, upbeat SP better. She can entertain, but not do the serious programs yet. She has a bright future with Orser though.

I don't think her scores in Sochi were any less outrageous than tonight's. Still waiting for Radionova's and Gold's 9.5s for choreography and interpretation.

Decent skate by Elizabet, but she just does not draw me in - very little facial expression and this program is not a good fit for her at all. Some of her jump technique (especially the first combination) looks off to me.

Mao is art personified and I agree that her PCS should have been way higher! Are you kidding me? I am so annoyed right now. Elizabeth looks so cute, I wish I had a baby girl like her but there is no way she should have edged Mao in the technical. wth

I missed part of Elizabet because my mom heard me freaking out about Mao, and started lecturing me on why watching figure skating for hours on end was bad. And why I should wear a jacket over pajamas.

But, apart from the fall, she was nice.
