Seriously I hope rumors are not true, if he does Ladies In Lavender , he will be forever compared to Machida, there is not much time since Tatsuki did that SP :scratch: and Tango.. some red V neck and frills ..no no no :whack:

I can see how Machida fans would compare Shoma to him but I don't think everyone else will. After all, Ladies In Lavender is associated with Mao in Japan so I could maybe see fluff pieces about Shoma skating to the same piece of music. However, a different piece would be preferable. :slink:

I didn't see the original tweet, but it seems that someone wrote the info from her friend who is a skater on twitter.
(The tweet was already deleted.)
She also heard Shoma landed beautiful 4F.

I don't know it's reliable or not, though.

to hear Tango, deep v with red color came up to my mind. :laugh:

Ladies in Lavender? I thought this was An American Hymn from the East of Eden mini series. Or are you referring to Ladies in Lavender (the movie?)...Tango with a red deep V. Sounds good to me! :clap:

Thanks! This program was the best to be seen when it was shown in US. I can see Salinas and it reminds me of the impression of the novel. Glad to see some audience did standing ovation though it was exhibition. :)


From my gut feelings, shoma is going to SA this year!

Well, not yet. :laugh: Nothing is official. But I do think it's a little early for Shoma to skate to that piece. Firstly because it was Machida's SP two seasons ago and secondly because he should try something different for now.

Stunning program by Tatsuki. I will never forget the feel in the arena. Sure hope your prediction for Shoma for Skate America is correct.

Actually, about East of Eden, I’ve been familiar with the piece of the movie of James Dean (I loooove it), and didn’t know of the song of drama until tatsuki did.
Tatsuki did it as EX at SA 2015? I try to search the video later. It’s sad that he had already injury at that time.:sad21: JSF chief said after his retirement that at that time Tatsuki brought many books to study for graduate school..
Do you know about the TSL interview with Mills? He compares Tatsuki to diamond. The tone of voice is so touching, He speaks calmly, but his voice tells how he loves and admires Tatsuki. (I have trouble with listening in English skills, so I repeated the interview again and again!:drama:)

Oh I definitely want to hear the Mills TSL interview. Sounds really interesting...That was 2014 when Eden was Tatsuki's Skate America EX. Was so happy he won the gold there. He was SO deserving. I think he won over Jason by something like 35 points.

The EX version of East Of Eden is different from the competition version. Tatsuki made some changes to the competition program and thus the exhibition version was born.

Phillip Mills' interview was about an hour long but I transcribed the Tatsuki parts in a blog post a year ago.
