I have just seen on Twitter, it seems in Makuhari and Sapporo the arena wasn't full even with Shoma, the weird thing :unsure: now is that they sell more seats for Kobe, sub seats and they even added movable seats...

If he has already confirmed his participation in Kobe with CIC, the organizers would have announced this good news immediately. I imagine, the reason may be that CIC just wants to sell as many tickets as possible

The arena in Sapporo has around 10k seats, only top bands can draw this number of fans to their shows. Figure skating is, after all, a small fandom. I heard that today, a newspaper article said that only 1600 ppl attended yesterday's show.
 
They would probably shout it from the roof tops if he had already said yes to kobe. They want to sell tickets. They probably do not know yet. I wonder if there is a question mark in yuzu's mind about the foot. If it was 100% after 2 months, he probably would know by now and it would only be a question of what programs to do (after all, he really does not have to show new competition programs or do the hardest jumps) and they could make the announcement knowing he was on his way. But, what do I know... off season speculation.

Makuhari is also a 9k capacity venue, not sure how full it was last week. I think this is the capacity they aimed for FaOI in general? The headliners like Yuzuru or plushenko is not attending so I am assuming a lot of people prefer not to go just like what the others mention previously. Was the ticket soldout initially when they were first sold? It is non-refundable right? Since I heard a lot were releasing/reselling their tickets. Also, isn't concert ticket cheaper than ice shows and same price regardless the seats (ard 10k yen)?

If I remember correctly last year Yuzu's ice shows were about 4-8k. NYOI was about 10k. I have the impression that the venues at Kobe and Nagano should be about 5-7k.

Yes, I look up that FaOI ticket range from 7k to 20k, but concert tickets are usually around 10k. For dome concert it is random, not sure with arena concert but from what i know the price should not differ much. This is why sometimes you can find front-row concert ticket being auctioned for up to 200-300k yen at yahoo auction. While buying from agent will cost you 2-3x the price. I don't know about yuzu, but I am assuming it was about the same condition. Didn't his DVD/blu-ray sold over 50 k copies or something? So I am assuming here he got quite a number of avid followers to fill up venues. :confused:
But yeah, I probably would cancel my trip if yuzu is not attending. Because the cost for flight+accommodation etc is more pricey than the ticket itself.

I'm not sure either, because I didn't buy my ticket at the auction market, but from a friend, she charged me at the original price.
PS. You know, these concert managers or whoever determines the price should just change their pricing strategy......

Ah, thank you for letting me know! I was always told that it is a bit difficult to get tickets for yuzu's events in Japan. I even asked my friend in Japan and she told me that if Yuzu was in it she can't promise that she will be able to get me one unless I want to get from an agent/reseller (which charge about 1.5-3x the original price, depending on the seat). This encourage me to go next time :biggrin:

p.s : I was thinking the same thing, but as long as the ticket sellout I doubt they will change any strategy. Big-name groups/bands usually sellout dome venues within minutes, it is amazing.
 
I went to Makuhari last weekend for three days.
My tickets must be picked up at the venue. Basically, I am not allowed to sell my tickets, so I had no choice.
It takes more than two hours to go to Makuhari from my house. It was really hard for me to go for three days to
the show where Yuzu didn't skate. After three days, I was very tired but I felt kind of I'm proud of myself;
it was like I did my job:). I clapped for all the skaters, I gave standing ovation for many skaters and waved
my hands to all of them at the finale, smiling a lot. But...when Fukuma-san started to play Ballade no.1,
and I saw Yuzu at GPF on the screen, I just couldn't hold back my tears. Tears kept falling down
my cheeks all through the Fukuma-san's performance and I was very embarrassed, but well, the person
next to me was also crying heavily.

Makuhari was almost full (perhaps 95%). The show was great and all the performance of the skaters was really awesome.
The audience was also great. I personally think we tried to enjoy the show as much as possible,
hiding the immense sorrow of not being able to see Yuzu there.
I also have the tickets for Nagano. Now that I could overcome Makuhari(it was hard, yes),
I think I will be able to endure Nagano without Yuzu.

But they are not maximizing their profit, unless they secretly have some deals with the resellers🤑

Hi daisy, I know how you feel. It's hard to sit for a few hours to watch a Yuzu-less ice show, so I chose not to go. I hope you'll enjoy your time at Nagano.

If I remember it correctly initially they said that he needs 1 month off the ice and intensive therapy and then 2-3 months for recovery. It makes 4 months in total. 4. If the treatment does not work out he has to consider surgery. Even if that would mean he would have to skip GP series- he better make a decision soon. He can't risk getting another similar injury again. And knowing his samurai spirit he would fight pain in silence. But his performance results would very much deteriorate. He can't let that happen. And the injury type that he has is just nasty. It can let you painless for a while and then get back when you least expect it.
I know people miss him a lot. He's a shining sun, he is addicting to his fans. He has to be wise and percevering about quality recovery. Health comes first. With healthy body he can build strong basis for perfect performances.
I will support him no matter what decision he takes. But I would hate to see him suffer. 2 seasons is a very long road to go. He has to be healthy.
 
Good to know. I only remember reading 2 months rest with treatment and then back on the ice. That info puts the situation in a different light and all thoughts of shows should be realistically put on hold. They mean little compared to the ultimate goal. Samurai spirit needs to be saved for later... now he needs to pamper himself.
