Shoma Uno: 2014-2024

I always loved the movie Ladies in Lavender, two amazing actors Judy Dench and Maggie Smith created masterpiece together and the music is stunning, some fans are concerned that this program will be always compared to Mao's 2008 sp, but for me Ladies in lavender will be forever associated and owned by Machida, everytime I hear the music I have Tatsuki in front of my eyes, I am pretty concerned what final result Shoma will put

I'm sure shoma create his own world with this program. SHoma is young but already has a personality. Further, his beauty of youth, especially, pureness of his eyes and skin... such materials really make him look lovely on the ice with this pieace. He is truly gifted guy.

I was one of those people who really, really liked Turandot. And in general I am not such a fan of the type of music Shoma chose this year. However he knows how to sell it! As the season goes on and he gets more comfortable with the program and finishes polishing it, I bet it will be even better. :yes: I can't wait to see how it will evolve.

I just LOVED Turandot. Nothing like a good war horse! I love tango but am not crazy about the new music. I imagine by the end of the year, I will love it! I'm sure he will put his special touch on it. And the SP music is lovely! It would make me so happy if he would come to Skate America (sorry, I've probably already said that 20 times! )

He is really special. And I loved his red shirt!...I wonder if maybe we have solved the black hair mystery. Yesterday, I watched (again!) the interview where the TV people go to Shoma's house - the one with his father. Both Shoma and his father have very black hair in that video. I was remembering that his father's was brownish, but that was wrong. Also Shoma's hair is very black at that point. I can't remember how old he is in that video. He does have the most beautiful skin, doesn't he?! Wish I could trade with him!

It really is such a beautiful movie. The music throughout is so special. I saw Tatsuki skate to this music, and it was beautiful. He created many wonderful memories with this program. And now Shoma has the opportunity to create his own memories. I am so anxious to see the program. And (of course, my favorite) what will his costume be?

Honestly, I felt just the opposite with his last year's SP and FS. His SP music last season did not seem to suit him, so I thought initially. But now, it's one of my favorites among Shoma's programs So, I'm expecting in a meaning how his FS of this season will develop :yes:

I really respect Higuchi sensei. She is drawing from Shoma various charms.

"Lavender" is SO perfect for Shoma. I can already see him (in my mind) in some of those sections where the violins almost sound like they're crying. I am sure he will really know how to "sell" that program. I think the FS is a little hard to skate. I don't know, it just bugs me that he's going to fly around the rink to a woman wailing "Crazy, crazy, crazy". It just doesn't speak to me! But who knows? It may end up being my big favorite again. I'm trying to have faith!

His younger brother is similar to him. His mother must be so pretty!

In practice sessions, skaters show better skating than competitions. Further, you can see coaches and teams! How do they instruct their students?

On Saturday midnight this weekend, nationwide sports news program "suporuto" is picking up Shoma! :dance: Hopefully, the program will include the latest coverage at his rink!

Plus Higuchi sensei seems to be a really supportive person for the mental side of her students that honestly, I always feel if only Mao has one coach just like her, besides coach Satoh.:sad4:

No worry. For me, the music will be forever associated with Mao’s. but I am also forward-looking that Shoma chose the music which his senpai’s had tried to and brought us as masterpieces, for his improvement.
Even if the result is not good he will still have a chance polishing the program another season like Yuzu’s PW that he could pull it off in the end.
Let’s have confidence in him :thumbsup:

I like unusual music so I liked "Legends" more than "Turandot" throughout the season. So I'm hoping he can work some magic with the tango as well even if it looks a little awkward now I have nothing but good feelings for his new SP though.

I remember reading an interview where Machiko Yamada said Mihoko Higuchi (along with Midori Ito) was a difficult student so she had to fire her (as a student) once

Ive heard Shoma's photo of the back cover is pretty nice, but a bookstore close to my house doesnt sell Life and i cant yet watched it. If you have seen it already, would you tell me your view about the magazine?

His still like playing games in his free time. but He wants to learn English(finally!!)
He thinks that it takes a long long time thogh.:agree:

I think Coach Higuchi is really terrific for the emotional / mental side of Shoma's skating. I love seeing them in the Kiss and Cry together. It seems like they really have a genuine affection for each other. I can still picture them together in the K & C after Shoma's Worlds performance where he was so devastated. She really seemed to be doing her best to comfort him!...His relationship with her reminds me a lot of Jason Brown's situation with his wonderful coach (Kori Ade). Kori has been coaching him since he was a little boy.
