Then, whichever fed has more bargaining power with Chinese fed will get to invite Boyang.

Yuzu did Skate Canada last year and Patrick won it to much acclaim.

And I would think Orser has enough influence with Skate Canada to get whatever he wants for his skaters (which may or may not be SC this year).

Yeah, but if Yuzuru did Skate Canada last year, will he want to do it this year as well? It's been a long time since he did Skate America... But then Skate America and Skate Canada are early and Yuzu might use more training time before his 1st GP. Rostelecom or TEB would be good if he gets the choice.
 
Im sooooo happy to see yuzu on the ice..:cry:. I can see yuzu soon...

I noticed today that they raised Skate America ticket prices quite a lot - the lower price tix went up $25 and the "VIP" tix went up $50. It made me wonder if Yuzuru might, in fact, do it this year - but with his injury I would think he would want to do a later one. And I guess there could be other reasons for the price increase......

Seriously? I've been holding out on buying tickets since I'd like to attend at least one Yuzu's grand prix events and I'm not sure if he'll get Skate America, but the idea I may have to pay higher price now is sad :'(. Selection comes out in a few days, so we'll know soon, the suspense is building!

The price went up compared to last year? If the competition is held in a different venue and a different city, the price difference maybe due to the difference in the cost of the venue.

No. The price went up from what I paid on June 3. I bought a club ticket for $175, the price listed on this page:

However, if you click through to this page and select club, you will see that it now costs $205, a $30 increase. Plus you get slapped with about $15 in service fees in addition.

Maybe it's a glitch in their system, who knows.
 
Idk if it was posted before, but the whole Worlds Gala was uploaded by sabinfire, with NBC commentary (I think it's Tracy). Yuzu starts around 1:30:30. Tracy doesn't talk much, only before and after the performance, but I think it lets us enjoy Requiem a lot more that way, besides, the video is in supreme quality :biggrin:

What a wonderful post! This sounds crazy like something I would do! But WHY NOT? This will be something you will remember forever. I'm sure that was an "out of body" experience to skate on the Sendai rink!...And I just got back from Canada (PEI & NS). I love Canada. Great place for Yuzu to train!

Well, it wouldn't be the end of the world... SA is early, but it'd be early for everybody and at SA Yuzu would probably face not-so-hard competition so his chances of winning wouldn't diminish that much (though seeing that he's never won his first GP...) And afterwards, after testing the new programs he'd have six weeks of uninterrupted training time.
 
Hello! I'm the girl that met Yuzu in Boston and I have a question. Has he ever stopped for fans before? I can't seem to find any photos. It seems like if you really want to meet him you have to get him alone.

You're sure a lucky one. But I wish less and less people bothered him with photos and signs, as he said himself that it is troublesome to his concentration. Fans better think he's unreachable in any condition when competing. That's my personal thoughts though.
