I love costume displays! The U.S. has some amazing costumes at the World Figure Skating Museum in Colorado Springs. Would love to see Yuzu and Mao's costumes! They might need a BIG place for the deep V display! :luv17:

Hamaguri at work -- :bed:  You are really a super fan! Don't worry, you will get your life back soon. It will be my turn to go crazy in 18 months with the Winter Olympics! 14 hour time difference between Chicago and S Korea. :drama:

Thanks. Im back after the excitement of Rio. i truly love to see sports and support athletes. i had so many tears to see them.

Hope your 2018 Olympics will be a memorable one to you! :hap10:

Speaking of costumes, I love this web site where you can do a search for different skaters and look at all of their costumes. Shoma has definitely had some very interesting (?) ones! :cool14:

I havent seen some of his costumes and found that not just the design but their colors are very unique.:drama:

Yes! I prefer uplight spin to A spin as for his spins.

Welcome back! You were missed! Our TV said 78 weeks to the Winter Olympics. My sister is telling me I should apply to be a volunteer for the next (2018) games, but I don't know.

Shoma's spins are looking great. He is about the only one whose A spin I like, :slink:, but mostly that is a dreadful spin! Thank heavens most of the ladies have stopped doing it. In the blur spin I posted he started "traveling" a little bit, but when he performed his EX (at the shopping center event) and did that spin, it was very well centered. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0kAUFfQnZC8 2:55

What a summer he has had! I think his next thing is Friends on Ice...Funny thing, I was hoping he wouldn't wear a lavender shirt, but I think it suits him.

Oh, you may go to Korea as a volunteer? Wonderful. I guess many Japanese will go to see Olympics in 2018. :drama:

I don’t have impression that he is a great spinner, but provably he usually gets level 4 with spins. I hope he got a lesson of spin from Stephane!

About his costume,.. I thought pastel colors don’t match him. He seems to have bold colors. But yes, lavender may grow on me as his performance gets matured. :)

I missed the latter part of THE ICE for Olympics. I must see Friends this weekend (and must check JGP)! The rehearsal starts already! https://twitter.com/tiramisu11/status/768126467834195968?lang=ja

I think Shoma's spins are actually quite good (level 4), although he sometimes tends to drift/ travel on his final spin. I think Dr. Spin  (Stephane) has helped him with his spins.

I was surprised at how light colors look on him. I even thought this green ICE shirt looked pretty good on him.
https:///www.instagram.com/p/BJFvFd3D4bY. (What is he doing? :drama: ) Only color I don't like for him is white. For me, it just doesn't look good on him - and white costumes just don't look good on the ice (for anyone).

Can't wait to hear the news for Friends!...I think I will be sitting in front of my tv for the 2018 Olympics. Like our tv said, only 78 weeks!

I've never see this shirt. He's lovely in this pale green! His skin is white and looks cute with his pose. Yes, it's a sometimes difficult to make white shirt stand out on the ice.

78 weeks are not long! Time passes by fast. :drama:

Here is THE ICE cast in their pastel colors. Seems like this show had great costumes. https://shoma-uno.tumblr.com/image/148622643672. Of course my favorite has to be Mura with his lavender shirt and RED pants. :eeking: I think Kozuka was there to present flowers for the 10th anniversary.

Reports from FOI say Shoma skated the EX La Vie en Rose choreographed for him by Stephane. Didn't know he had another EX. :confused2:

I thought we talked about a new EX by Stephane on p112  Didn't know it was La Vie en Rose though.

Oh my gosh, you're right - completely forgot. I guess with the Olympics and the debut of lots of new SP and FS by so many skaters, that seems like years ago! It was only July 19 though. So that's what they were doing that day Stephane was with Kanako and Shoma all day at the rink. Hope Stephane still has time to continue working with Shoma. Seems like he will be a lot busier now that he is going to be coaching Deniss Vasiljevs.

There is a short movie uploaded on Mura’s sponsor’s facebook of Mura helping Shoma with his homework.

I read on one of the FOI reports today that Shoma’s FS music edit might have changed a little. If I understood it correctly, the sreeching sound when the music changes is longer and the vocal part at the end has been edited differently.

OT, but I'm wondering if Stephane will be able to spend so much time in Japan next summer or if he'll bring Deniss with him to skate at FaOI together  which I think could happen if Deniss does well this season, FaOI being a European-men-centric show and all.

This sounds like good edits to the FS. I'm hoping there's a little less singing :drama:, although I hate to admit it, but the program is definitely growing on me! Also it would be nice to have some extra time with the screech so that he can have a little more glide time out of the jump.

I'd say the Stephane / Deniss news is on topic, because I'm sure a lot of people (including Shoma and Team Japan and others) are now wondering if Stephane will be too busy or would it be a conflict of interest to work with others. Actually they did a great "Q & A" on Saturday and addressed some of these issues on Steph's Facebook. I was trying to post a link to it but had trouble. The link is in Deniss' Fan Fest -- Page 17, Post 253.

ETA - Heard /saw a little bit of the new La Vie en Rose EX. It was the Andrea Bocelli version. Sounded nice.

Thanks for the info about Stephane and Denis!

Shoma updated his site.
He shows the gratitude to fans' support at friends and shows.
Further, he is leaving for Italy next week, trying to get the better result in the first competition than the previous years.

"I hate insects and am not able to touch!"😂

I hope he does well for his first competition. I'm sure I would be so nervous if I were him!...That is SO funny about the insects! I wondered why that was mentioned, but it sounded like a fan asked him a question about insects! :laugh2: There was also a nice picture of him in a Tommy Hilfiger shirt! (He does have a lot of shirts -- wonder if he borrows some of these from Itsuki?!)

This deep blue is Tommy Hilfiger? So nice. Yes, he can share his shirts with Itsuki. I would love to see his wardrobes!😂

Btw, he gets his hair dye in mesh pattern?

I feel he is good at writing. Funny to add that he dislikes insects!

I'm so glad he finished his all shows this summer with so much fulfilment.😄.
