2016 Trophée de France Mens FS

This will be the first time I watch the entire free skating of men this season. I am so excited :hap10:

My favorites for the podium are Javier, Nathan and Adam. Also sending my endless love and respect to Misha Ge

Last 4am start for this GP, thank goodness. Bring on CoC and NHK!

Walk into the thread to find more Chen-crowning and people being happy without a 3A. Sorry but NO.

Besides which, I'm actually fairly sure an Axel-type jump is required in the FS.

When done correctly a beautiful triple axle is better looking than a quad IMO. I mean when Han Yan hits his it's a sight to behold. I'm sure Nathan Chen will get it sooner rather than later.

I think this is Javier's to win or lose. He has the jumps and he has the components. I wish he didn't have the bowling shirt.

i am fairly sure the axel jump is required as well .. but it can be a single ;) ok.. fine a double...

Is it wrong that sometimes when they do a huge single axle that I think "Wow..look at that.." with an appreciation for the sheer beauty of the power to get up that high in my heart?

I'm so glad Eurosport 1 broadcats the event! Eurosport 2 is not availible for me so I miss the majority of the events. :(

Awkward dorky intros are back

no-one cheers for Brendan and makes karne sad

I think they are getting the hang of the center ice thing. Maybe if they keep it they will develop a style for it like Olympic sprint teams do when they are introduced.

Though I staunchly defend Max's quad attempts (particularly in light of the Chen-crowners), in my heart, my favourite jump of his is his huge, enormous triple Axel that flies so far through the air.

But my all-time favourite triple Axel is Joshua's. Flawless technique, so straight and beautiful in the air, such height, and such a soft landing... He could present it without any transitions at all and it should still have got +3.

*yawn* it's 1:30am over here. Hope I'm still awake during the second warm-up group. My best wishes for Nathan and Denis! <3

He's out because of the concussion problems, right? It's a shame.

There are some beautiful axles out there. I just always think of Han Yan's because it's so high and pretty. But there are also a lot of highly questionable axles out there. Weird to think that that Brian Orser was the first to land that and it's still just a difficult jump that it often decides competitions even 30 years later.

I know Elvis liked his jumpsuits, but I don't remember him wearing anything quite like what Ivan has on...

While I admire and respect his choice not to wear daywear as a costume I don't care for this choice. But rock on Arthur son of Artur.
