2016 Cup of China Free Dance

But vilka looks like a Bambi, too.;)

Vika is not the definition of elegance on ice either, but she hunches way less and is way better than Stepanova IMO. And Nikita (drunken twizzle and all) is on a different planet when compared to Bukin.

That'll be good for them cause they'll be 2nd to last to skate in the GPF,

Unless the GPF is also a draw now... ?

I think the GPF remains the only competition that is seeded.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong?

Yay! Team Stepukin will most likely be the Russian #2.

Makes me sad for what could have been for Ilinykh & Katsalapov. :disapp:

Yeah, Vika has better Thumper ;)

And you said they are going to NHK too?

Si, but I don't expect them to get such a good result there. Tougher field. But they need to get consistency in competition, so I just hope they would score 150 (or better) there too ;)

I was thinking "gangly" myself. But I could just tell they'd win the Russian tango-off. S/K had too many obvious stumbles. Stepanova is better at covering her stumbles up. LOL!

Both their tangos pale in comparison to Piper and Paul's tango. The Russian teams need some serious lessons on how to portray a tango. If they aren't selling, I ain't buying.

Fifth place for Natalia & Maks :hap57: :party2: I knew they were lucky to be chosen for CoC! :yahoo:

I guess Ms.Gordon Poltorak who is the chair of ice dancing technical committee and who was also the technical controller at this competition is making lucky arrangements for Polish ice dance team.

Why is this person saying "we are sansur" over and over again... what does it mean? Is it the alien overlord calling again?

That seems to be a problem for a lot of teams. Do you think it's getting more common?

Open programs? Well the name of the game in ID has always been, in the immortal words of Uncle Dick Button, "Speed, speed and more speed." And the easiest way to do that is in an open hold. And every team is looking to stand out, and the easiest way to do so in ID is to be fast faster fastest.

But Morozov is infamous for open programs. I loved I/K's Swan Lake but it was VERY open.

Both Russian couple with higher BV than W/P and S/S :scratch3:.
S/S tied on BV with W/P but won on GOE (understandably) and PCS
