Had to make them extra sparkly so they survive the first day of the GPF, since i will be at work and won't be able to scream at the stream 😂
And I'll be torn between having to get up really early on Saturday and wanting to see it. And I know which will win!

:cheer: Celebrating Yuzu's 22nd Birthday with Your Wishes & Messages :cheer:

Join us by submitting your wishes and messages at this link http://bit.ly/YuzuBirthdayWishes

Edit to add the following: The messages will be made into a video and upload on youtube and a CD will be sent to Yuzu. As some of the messages may be long, there will also be a version in tumblr which will be shared with all the fans's group and forums. Deadline: 7 Dec 9am GMT (London time).

Appreciate if someone could help to share this to other forums as well :thank:

Thank you, for making this effort. I hope this message will come through to Yuzuru. I have one question, is Yuzuru still donating to charity. I read somewhere that he had donated his olymic money's to his childhood skating rink? Do you know if this information is correct?

Yes and yes, since all profits from his book Aoi Honoo goes to support his home rink. Keep in mind that many who do donate (time and monetary) do it privately and is usually not public information. :)

The GPF starting order is also decided by draw now, right? So he could either be first or last, hopefully he'll be in the last 3 :)

I am already having major symptoms like wanting to sleep all the time and eating endlessly :palmf:
mine is having to fast now. As for wanting to sleep all the time - I'm in Russia, it's winter, the day lasts for around five hours, it seems, and it's cold and snowing. I just want to get into my den and hibernate!!!

He donated the reward given by JOC for his winning OGM to Sendai city and to Miyagi prefecture before victory drive held in April 26, 2014. Here is a footage of the event and from 3:52 there is a scene where he actually make the donation. And as shiroKJ said in earlier post he has been donating his royalty on his books published in 2012 and in 2016 to his home rink.

Haha I want to sleep til Wednesday so I can see him skate...and then take another long nap til Saturday for the free skate...

What am I going to do during the off season, haha...

He is such a great rolemodel and olympian. To be so young, and to be so responsible. To me it is not always the sports results you get in the olympic games, but what you do before and after. And he has shown the world what a great olympian he is. He is driving the sport to new heights and also gives so much of himself to charity. Talk a about the right winner for the 2014.

I'm really not a huge fan of this random draw to be honest :slink:

Me neither and I've seen a lot of grumbling too so I wonder how long before they change it again.

No news of his arrival I take it. I saw Rippon is just leaving tomorrow and that seems awfully late. I guess the Japanese media will let us know about Yuzuru but I was so sure he would choose today.

Same, GPF draw like last year is the best draw. People worry about inflation lol like random draw will stop score from being inflated. At least those who skate last earn their spot by skating well to be high on the GP and world standings? Why did ISU keep trying to fix a hole by tearing down the whole house :bang:

Kansai Team has already departed from Japan. Has yet to hear about Shoma. I guess if Yuzuru is in Canada he would be leaving soon, Brian was not accompanying Daleman though he accompanied Gogolev for Skate Canada challenge. So I am guessing that Brian has returned to Toronto already by then and prepared to depart with Yuzu and presumably Jun hwan too? :scratch2:

It was so obvious this had so many problems even on paper. I have a feeling they want to be seen as doing something to try and address problems, regardless if obviously ill-advised :palmf: If anything, the inflation just gets worse potentially, if the dice fall in a certain way.

I think Shoma had some jet-lag problems before so he's probably off already by now.

If not today, then I guess the same as Rippon, they'll leave tomorrow but that leaves Yuzuru with a day to adjust. Brian is going to be so knackered by the time he's in France, jumping around like that. And yes, I guess he must have. :scratch2:

Well Brian is not competing, lucky him. And he will also have his assistent coach with him, pooh-san. So he will be allright :)

At this time of the season, with so many competitions at different levels, locales, I doubt if Brian even knows what country he is in... in the last few weeks he's been in Russia, France, Japan, back to Canada, now back to France.... and then back to Japan in a few weeks... etc.. at this point i'd be pointing at my skaters at the airport and asking which country we are going to this time, lol.
