Haha, for some reason it seems to me like Yuzuru always wants to touch Shoma, pinch his cheeks and ruffle his hair. Maybe it's the height difference or he feels protective of Shoma, because he's smaller. And Shoma, always, stoic, is like, "well, okay, go ahead. I don't mind, either way." Yuzuru for all his success seems still boyish and cheeky to me. More than Shoma.

I can agree with that. Tickling Satoko, making Pooh give a kiss to Evgenia and the he quickly runs away, adjusting Shoma's hood. He's still such a kid. It's funny, lol .

 the two when they were younger. Look at the photos, scrolling down.

Just got an email today about purchasing Skate America tickets for 2017. Web site is already up and running. www.2017skateamerica.com Ok, it is WAY too early to start obsessing about whether Shoma will come to Skate America! :dance3: Could this possibly be his program for next year? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGjIW6XQnKo

I got a ticket for now. If either he or Yuzu will be there I'm going, lol. Otherwise I'm selling it. As of now from where I'm sitting I'll be on tv, lol.

I don't know -- Thanksgiving weekend (tough travel weekend). And this year, on those dates they had around a foot of snow. I've always wanted to go to Lake Placid, but -- hmmmm. I will make a bold guess (and will probably be as wrong as all my other predictions for this past week! :) ). I'm going to say Yuzu has Skate America and Shoma has Skate Canada. Don't ask me why. Just a gut feeling.

I don't think Yuzu will do SC this year either, and Lake Placid is closer to Toronto. I was hoping Shoma would come to Canada. I don't think he's ever competed here, at any stage in his career, has he?

I'll probably head there right after Thanksgiving dinner when traffic is best, lol. I've thought about this but Yuzu and Shoma going to Skate America will depend on if Chen medals. If we got a world podium like the GPF podium they'll all have to be separate places and I am 1000% sure Skate America will select Nate out of the three, lol. If Chan and Yuzu podium Yuzu won't be at Skate Canada. If Yuzu Chan and Chen podium we won't see Yuzu in North America at all. If somehow Yuzu doesn't podium (which would be mega :sad21::sad21:) then that opens up North America again. If Shoma podiums and Chen doesn't we could see them both at Skate America. My personal conflict is that I want both Shoma and Yuzu on the world podium at all costs (with both skating well), but then Skate America could be less fulfilling, lol.

Shoma comes back to Nagoya today
(around 3:40, 6:40, 8:40)

He is looking back on himself in a strict view saying that he did a bid mistake and doesn’t get satisfied with the result of the 3rd.
he realized he still can’t catch up yuzu at all, but really thought he would love to compete with him in the same field as soon as possible.

(from my view, Nathan, shoma, etc. those next generations are not next. They are already there. To know this, yuzu tries to move forward further. )

If Shoma and Nathan stay strong and keep their momentum, they can really put pressure on those big bosses in 2018. Exciting times.

That was my thinking, that Lake Placid is closer to Toronto than Saskatchewan. Danibellerika makes a good point though, because it really depends on who is on the Worlds podium. That will affect who can go where. And of course, everyone wants to be sure to help their skaters get to the GP Finals, so it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. And the U.S. would probably want to have Slaythan--er, I mean Nathan--at Skate America...OMG, how bad are we?! Nationals and Worlds aren't over yet, and I'm already worried about Skate America! :handw:

You're way ahead of me! I forgot about all those special requirements. It would make sense that Slaythan would be at SA if he podiums...I just worry about all the snow with Lake Placid! I've always wanted to see L.P.!

And I think it will depend on the schedule too. We know when SA and SC are, but when is NHK? Wasn't there some mention somewhere of it being moved in the schedule next season? I would love to see Shoma at SC next year if the schedule/podium placements, allow it.

I could see NHK in the first half since the final is later.

They finished off the podium and Yuzu finished 3rd in the free. Nate beat Chan twice now. The pressure is already here. They've arrived. Game on. This competition sort of made me sense a shift in the air.

If it's snowin' I'm not goin'!

Oh darn - I got a message that I can't watch Fujipacific in my country. Well, more info will come soon, I'm sure. His SP error was definitely very costly, but I hope he realizes how much people appreciated and respected his FS. And the fact that he could hold it together and get the bronze was awesome. I think the key for Shoma (and Nathan for that matter) will be to stay injury free. Their bodies take such a pounding!

ETA -- And here is Shoma with his well-deserved plastic medal! http://shoma-uno.tumblr.com/image/154436544267

Thanks. Such a shame about those medals. Just one problem out of many at Ghetto Prix Final 2016 :disapp: But I am in the business of thinking of solutions. At the very least the back of the medal is blank. And while this is a source for additional ridicule, they can actually go crazy there. I suggest finding a coaster and gluing it on.
