In case, for your reference, I link here the criteria for the Worlds, and the possibility whether Yuzuru is selected, although anyone is not doubting. I think Google translate will do enough as far as I tried.

The seminar between ISU specialist and staffs at my ice rink has just finished. We were taught a lot. They talked about spin and step sequence levels. One of the examples was Yuzuru's last spin in his SP Let's go crazy (at GPF). The specialist said Yuzuru had 5 good features in that spins but too bad they don't have level 5 for it. :luv17:
Bad jokes,it is not funny joking his name and illness.
So ugly.

Or can I throw up to his face?Maybe Jackie doesn't know Yuzuru is sick? Not everyone knows. Seems pretty harsh reaction from some fans.
I am sorry but I am gonna vomit for a whileOr can I throw up to his face?

Jokey Wrong is just trying to create some buzz over someone's misfortune, that's all :disagree: Maybe some fans' reaction are a bit "harsh" but this whole tweet thing is really done with bad taste. I guess such kind of "jokes" are funny when it's someone you don't give a xxxx aboutMaybe Jackie doesn't know Yuzuru is sick? Not everyone knows. Seems pretty harsh reaction from some fans.
The specialist seems to like me...Are you training to be a judge? Are you gonna be as strict as Shin Amano?
yes why not, I might be stricter than Shin Amano, my idol!I wonder if Bryan is already in Japan bc the men's SP is on the 23rd. If he already arrived then poor him. Flying for around 14 hours only to see that his athlete was sick and both of them probably talked through this decision together. Not even a day rest and he's back on the plane for another ~14 hours. Damn

Yuzu is not going to skate at Japan Nationals this year because of the flu
So sad about the flu. But at least he's being reasonable this time and taking time to rest. --If he plans on going to 4CC then he needs to rest now.
Get better soon Yuzu.

Rough translation of the news (http://www.daily.co.jp/general/2016/12/21/0009770072.shtml)
On Dec 21th JFS announced that Sochi Olympic gold medalist Yuzuru Hanyu will withdraw from Japan Figure skating championships which will be held from 22th in Osaka, where he was going to compete for his five consecutive titles. He developed influenza on 15th, then complicated pharyngitis and has been diagnosed to be in need of another week of rest with medical treatment.
His comment through JSF:
For all the supporters, those who involved with figure skating, sponsors and people in the press, and those who were looking forward to Japan Figure skating championships, I am sorry for causing you anxiety and trouble. For the moment I would like to focus on taking rest and treatment to recover my health.
According to NHK news he still has a fever now. Hope he will take a good rest and get well soon.
Idk if it’s already been posted, but NHK has already confirmed that Yuzuru is still included in the selection to make the 4CC and Worlds teams because he’s placed in the top 3 at Worlds in the past.

If my memory doesn't fail me, I think someone in team japan or state of japanese skating thread has translated this?In case, for your reference, I link here the criteria for the Worlds, and the possibility whether Yuzuru is selected, although anyone is not doubting. But in summary
1st spot : goes to national champ
2nd spot : 2nd or 3rd on nationals, top 2 GPF or participate at GPF
3rd spot : fulfill 1 or 2 but has not been selected OR 4-6 on nationals, top 3 isu world standing by the time Japan Nats end, top 3 season's best scores by the end of Nats
Do note :
It is required to participate in the All Japan Championships (Nationals) as the minimum condition of all selection criteria. Means Nationals is actually mandatory, BUT if a skater who has made the podium in the world championships in the past could not participate due to inevitable reasons such as injury, the selection might be based on the result achieved this season.
Anyway, if he would have lost his eligibility and participation at Worlds for skipping this, knowing his character, Yuzuru would probably still skate regardless of his illness and his performance. I am sure he has discussed the best possible decision to take under his circumstances with JSF and his team.
Its Hanyu's world`
He's literally everywhere in Sendai, promotion for Nationals They get an A++ for including his UA and Swan costumes
I fantasize a twin Yuzu with contrasting character.
Here's a few photos I took of Yuzuru at the GP Final in Marseille:

I will try to upload some vids on my twitter from the open practices but for now, you can see a funny and cute moment I had the chance ot catch on video..... Total luck I was recording at this moment... https://twitter.com/Pika_Alva/status/810768544455622656
He was fooling around with spirals at the end of one of the Autumn Classic 2016 practices. I caught part of it on video. I love spirals & would love for him to incorporate one into a program. Since he does a layback Ina Bauer & a Biellmann, I would think he might be able to do a layback spin, but who knows?

Max Gladstone, and American fantasy author tweeted about Yuzuru today saying
.... "Here's the best male skater in the world skating to "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince."
https://twitter.com/maxgladstone/status/810348217229516801
and his followers seems to like what they see despite not knowing who he is
Also I looked through his twitter and he never mention or follow figure skating until that only tweet... makes me curious if he found Yuzuru's video because of Prince which is also awesome hehe
All your photos are so cool! I've used them as references for speed-sketches. http://figureskating-in-color.tumbl...97/hanyu-speed-sketches-by-me-pencils-5b-f-on
So I take it this is the letter and the picture Yuzu sent to TAT?
Татьяна Анатольевна
Благодарю маме (doesn't make sense, but whatever!)
Приезжай к нам в Японию!
Юдзуру Ханю
LOL Yuzu, you should have been a bit more respectful! You're addressing TAT as if she were of the same age!
She was there and he directly gave a bunch of flowers, I think. I'm not sure these were the flowers she got - but it looks likely.
That's her and Grishin at the GPF

There were two instances.
One was the first we heard, the photo and the 2 page letter with his thanks, before the GPF.
The second one was at the GPF itself. I heard right away that he gave her his bouquet, the one he got for the victory but this note in Russian is something he seems to have also added then, that we are just now seeing.
This interview which was done right after Yuzu arrived at Narita airport has been aired an hour ago:http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x55layh_161218-報s-これから神る_sport
Many wise words from Yuzu. Please someone translate "これから神る”! "Going to perform like God"?
You can see rare 髭(mustache?whisker?) on his face.
According to the interviewer, Yuzu thinks of removing his many routines I hope Pooh-san will stay.
神ってる kamitteru is a kind of coinage, from 神 kami - God, used for a person who does a miracle performance at a critical timing, even the status of a divinity. I think a baseball manager started using it for his players who did miracle performance this season.
You can use like "He is kamitteru!!"
This is the first time for me to hear 神る kamiru. This may be another coinage as a verb
He put a spot of marker pen on his cheek. He says "I often do this." Even this carelessness of his is cute
The specialist seems to like me...yes why not, I might be stricter than Shin Amano, my idol!
