Yes. Spring senior Bs (or non-Challenger Senior Bs in the fall) are only to get qualification minimums and world ranking points. SB are earned at Challenger events and Grand Prix events which are all over with leaving only JW/SW/4CC/Euros. Which is why its important for her to try to qualify for Junior Worlds for a chance to increase her SB.

ETA: and you can get SB at the World Team Trophy but she is unlikely to get invited to that event.

True -- now that Mao will not go to 4CC or Worlds, the remaining skaters that are likely to leapfrog her in SB are probably Marin Honda & Yuna Shiraiwa at Junior Worlds, and both will be super stoked also to get into the top 24 since they will also need that to qualify for senior GP spots next year.
The other possibility is Gracie (if she gets her act together for Nats & Worlds). But even if these 3 bump up above her in the order, she will go to #25 and there are 3 non-age-eligible skaters within that top 25, so think she should be already fairly on track for 1 GP slot (though 2 is still a challenge).

As much as i like her, she was overscored in my opinion: she doesn't have the stamina to sustain a completely clean free program, and her technique on the 2A is terrible.

Sofia Samodurova was better than her: better speed and posture, although her jumps are still tiny.

Samodurova is not eligible for senior GP spots next season so it isn't relevant.

I wanna say this season was Adelina's last chance to qualify as a come-back skater.

Ironically, imo that dancing with the stars, "Lednikovy period" participant, cosmetology businesswoman, photo model and VIP Adelina was maybe the best equipped present female skater to perform a quad.
Her vertical jump was enormous.

Finland might be hostile towards Russian ladies as well. At Finlandia, Anna and Liza and Sima didn't score well at all.

That's because at Finlandia, Liza and Sima didn't skate well at all -_-
Anna was OK, but not her best, and 3rd place (very close behind Asada and Osmond) seemed right to me.

You've made that same speculation before, I consider it baseless, and my answer is still the same:
In 5 consecutive years of attending Finlandia Trophy:

-I've never felt Finland was hostile or unfair to Russians (or any other country for that matter)
-Finlandia has been well attended by Russians (they don't seem to feel it is a hostile place)
-Russians regularly win, or do very well at Finlandia...

I feel now it is hostile . I decided to buy tickets for Friday ladies and Saturday/Sunday in case I manage to find time. And they offer only some obscur balcony. The only excuse I would accept is that everything is sold out rather than a "quota for the Russians" is finished.

Limiting the tickets that audiences from nearby countries can buy hardly means that a country/federation/domestic audience is hostile to one specific country.

FWIW, I'm in the US, and the only ticket option available for me (for the ladies LP) is Balcony 2. There are premium seats, ice level, and 2 balconies, so I hardly feel as though that is "some obscure" balcony.

It's evidently not a quota for Russians. When I see comments like yours (which can be proven untrue, as I just did) I feel as though the comment is meant to somehow prove as though Russia is a tragic, persecuted victim, when that narrative is 100% proven false.

There are only Balcony 2 tickets available for men's and ladies free in Finland, too. There are other possibilities for ice dance and for exhibition. Finns welcome all skaters to Finland and their fans, too.

As many predicted correctly right after the Olympics, Sotnikova is pretty much over. It would've been interesting to see her turn up in Pyeonchang. Korean knetz are amazingly petty.

She is young enough and can come back in top form, i don't see a problem here. The irony is, people who made predictions about her are the one, who are helping to end her career with their hatred. But in the end, no one will ever apologize or take the responsibility, oh well

I don't think the comments of some bitter betties on the internet have had any significant impact on Adelina's career choices. Don't give them too much credit. She seems to be enjoying having her OGM and doing shows. Good for her. I'm sad that yet another OGM winner has appeared to lose competitive drive before their artistic peak. Oksana, Tara, and Sarah all could've been so much better than they ended up being, if they had lost the OGM to a "veteran." Not saying we shouldn't award OGMs to deserving young ladies, but it just makes me sad personally.

The biggest skating countries in the world are Russia and Japan. I have no idea what those reporters/fans are saying, but some angry fans and biased news organizations not writing in Japanese or Russian hardly matter.

Yes. Because japanese and russians do read american articles as well. Do you know what social media is? You can share something with the whole world- right here, right now, in all languages. And then they talk about it on Youtube, news articles ect. to "inform" other people. And people love sensational "news". Never underestimate this

Well Russians are known for looking for enemies around them instead of focusing on their faults or even harmless oversights (look for doping drama and agendas), it's part of their mentality and samkrut is also Russian. I really like this poster but it's generally true, it's somehow ingrained in their culture.
